ICANN has a long-standing and valued relationship with stakeholders across Africa that began more than two decades ago. On 8 April 2005, ICANN recognized AFRINIC as the Regional Internet Registry to manage, distribute, and register Internet number resources across the continent in alignment with its community-developed policies. Over the following years, ICANN has expanded its engagement in the region, invested in infrastructure, and developed local technical capacity to foster a more secure, resilient, and accessible Internet.

ICANN invites the community to participate in an informational webinar about the draft operating and financial plans for fiscal year 2027 (FY27). The webinar will provide an overview of the draft plans for ICANN and Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) which will be posted for separate, concurrent Public Comments. General Assembly during its High-Level Meeting on the overall review of the implementation of the outcomes of WSIS+20.
