Hello and Welcome
I've been working in tech for the majority of my life (starting at ~12). I've worked everywhere from the standard helpdesks, systems administration, cloud engineering but also have experience as a DFIR researcher specializing in IoT and Mobile Forensics.
I've been working in a Cloud Enginnering role for ~3 years now speicailizing in Azure. To get my fix of hardware I've been an avid homelabber for almost 7 years. I use NixOS as my main distro across desktops and servers along with a handful of Ubuntu servers that still haven't been migrated.
Other than tech I've been getting into photography as I travel more. I currently use a Canon EOS R10 and do most of my editing via Darktable. All my edited work can be found here on the photos page.
Projects and Blogs
I'm not the best at releasing the things that I work on or regularly publishing blogs but the things I have done can be seen below
- SANS Holiday Hack 2024 Writeup
- Every year I try to compete in the SANS Holiday Hack and post my writeups. This is the most recent one
- Taking a TRS-80 Model 100 Online
- I picked this up at a VCF event and thought it would be funny to make it connect to the internet. Worked better than expected
- Self Hosting a TV Network
- One of the first big projects I worked on. This blog is a bit out of date with the current setup and probably needs an update
- MVIMG Carver
- One of the first forensics tools I ever wrote for a CTF. MVIMG Carving has been merged into most every analysis kit now but I still find this interesting
- Music Organizer
- Simple script to organize music based on eyed3 tags
- Acquisition Script for Mobile Resources
- This likely needs some updating but this script was designed to ease things for myself and my coworkers when we were doing research on Android devices. I wanted to ensure that we coukd easily acquire data from android devices in a repeatable way.
