Neatnik ID: One login to rule them all

Today we’ve shifted the login process for omg.lol to Neatnik ID, our small but mighty home-grown account management thing (if we’re being pretentious, we’d call it a CIAM platform). Yay!

What this means for you:

  • When you sign into omg.lol, you’ll now flow through Neatnik ID, which holds your account and manages your logins and sessions.
  • Neatnik ID isn’t just limited to passkeys and email-based logins like our prior setup; you can now add a password and 2FA as well, and mix and match whatever authentication methods you’d like.
  • Since passkeys are domain-specific, any prior omg.lol passkeys you had will no longer work. You should remove those and you can add new ones for Neatnik ID that will last forever.
  • You should continue to use the same account email that you’ve been using to sign in all along. (If you want to change your email address, you can do that on the Neatnik ID Account Details page.)

With this change, we’re all set for plenty of future service expansion (with things like Spake and Neato) without everyone having to manage a bunch of separate accounts all over the place.

If you run into any issues accessing omg.lol or using Neatnik ID, just get in touch.
