I have used this plugin with gratitude to customize the icons on the admin dashboard. It worked great for a few years, but is now defaulting to the developer’s choice.

Inspecting the page with developer tools shows that the code is now “before {content: "}” instead of “before {content: “f175″;}” or whatever. Looks like WP is converting the CSS code to html. I realize I can link an external CSS file but thought you should know and would prefer to use the plugin settings instead.

Many thanks for developing this, there is nothing else like it!

Hi @emcarnahan756! Thanks for the report! Yes, unfortunately, v2.5 of the plugin introduced some overzealous encoding of some characters that are valid in CSS. I’ve just released v2.5.1 of the plugin which should no longer have that problem. After updating, you may need to review your CSS to see if any characters are encoded and fix them (things like ", <, etc). Once fixed and saved in v2.5.1 or later, things should continue to work fine going forward. Cheers!
