Hi @one3rdnerd,
Thank you so much for reaching out and for sharing the detailed information — it really helps!
We appreciate you pointing out the “Failed to initialize plugin: wpuf_button” error you’re seeing, especially that it appears specifically on the Simple Custom CSS and JS plugin page.
I’ve tested the scenario on a clean installation using the latest versions of both WP User Frontend and Simple Custom CSS and JS, and I was able to replicate the issue you’re describing. It seems there is indeed a conflict when both plugins are active, particularly with how TinyMCE buttons or custom scripts are loaded in the admin area.
I’ve logged this with our development team so they can further investigate and work on a fix or compatibility update. In the meantime, here are a couple of workarounds you might consider:
- If you’re not using the WPUF editor buttons on that specific admin page, you can safely ignore the error as it doesn’t affect overall functionality.
- Temporarily disabling one plugin when configuring the other is another possible workaround until a fix is released.
We’ll keep you posted once we have an update. Thanks again for flagging this — we truly appreciate your patience and proactive feedback!
Thank you, I’ll ignore it now while I wait for an update. I saw it on a site that’s still in development and not live yet, so hopefully it’s fixed before we need to launch.
