php 7.0 incompatible with snippet

I recently updated php to version 7.0. As a result, a visit to any page on my site caused the display to render a dark grey blank page. I discovered the problem was associated with this plugin. By deactivating one of my JS snippets, the gray screen went away. The code is related to a shortcode. The culprit is either the plugin or my snippet (which I did not write).

Any suggestions? Anyone else having problem with php 7.0?
