As it has been over 3 years since it was requested to render tables/charts in the block editor when using the wpDataTables blocks. The team obviously doesn’t care about their gutenberg block… So I made my own!

It uses an iframe to render their shortcode, so there should be no future compatibility issues if they change something. Check it out!

Thank you for sharing your solution with the community — it’s always great to see users building creative workarounds and contributing their own ideas.

Regarding the native wpDataTables block rendering, I can confirm that improving the Gutenberg block experience is on our roadmap, and our developers are actively working on it. At this time, we can’t provide a specific ETA, but it’s planned for one of the upcoming updates.
