Shortcoder Translation via WPML not working

    Hi,

    unfortunately yout website is down since two days…

    We facing an issue with shortcoder and WPML. Shortcodes are not translateble!

    What can cause this issue? plugins are both at latest version.

    Hi,

    Yes website is under maintenance and sorry for the incovenience !

    Regarding the issue, I’m not sure how WPML and Shortcoder are used together.
    Can you please eloborate ?

    we duplicate the shortcode post via WPML and translate the content after.

    Hi @econsorsn,

    Thanks for the screenshot. The metabox added by WPML on the right side is not supported by Shortcoder. It looks like WPML is adding it in all editing pages. I may have to hide it in shortcoder editing page.

    Shortcoder content is any code or text.

    So you can create a shortcode for different language and use your translated text in that. Then you can use that shortcode in the translated post/pages.

    Hi,

    I already expected that. Maybe the plugin will be compatible with WPML in the future? That would save a lot of effort and make the plugin clearly user-friendly.

    Hi @econsorsn,

    Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the suggestion.

    I have to explore the possibilities and the see the efforts needed from my side.

    Right now I do not have a plan since I expect this a significant change in the plugin which is beyond the plugin’s scope or usecase.
