Education

At Bonorong, education is an essential part of our mission to conserve native species for future generations. By connecting people and wildlife, we aim to inspire direct action at an individual and community level, so that together we’re equipped to protect the animals that call Tasmania home.

Our experiences have been carefully chosen to provide you with an insight into the lives of our most vulnerable animals. From hand feeding an echidna to greeting a wombat, every encounter leaves a lasting impression; a memory that you will cherish forever.

Conservation

Tasmania is home to some of the most unique and precious animals on the planet. As habitats come under increasing pressure, we’re working hard to sustain biodiversity through the rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned animals.

Support Us

At Bonorong, the rescue, rehabilitation and release of the animals we care for, is only made possible by the generosity of our guests and the broader community. Your support directly funds feed, medicine, enclosures and the other resources that our team needs to mount an effective response to an animal in need.

Our fundraising arm is called ‘Friends of Bonorong’, and they exist to fundraise for the immediate care of wildlife in crisis and for the ongoing protection of Tasmanian and Australian wildlife in need. Friends of Bonorong is ACNC registered charity and all donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.
