The Dr. James “Buddy” Powell Manatee Rehabilitation Center Welcomed New Manatee Patients!
New manatee patients arrived on November 10 and have been acclimating to their new surroundings. The rescued manatees will be continuing their rehabilitation journey with us and will hopefully be released back to the wild in early 2026.
Your visit helps support our rescue, rehab, release and conservation efforts to protect these animals, and we are excited to invite you to be part of our mission and discover the wonder of manatees.

We welcomed four new rough-toothed dolphins!
We are proud to provide a home for these four new rough-toothed dolphins that arrived at Clearwater Marine Aquarium this summer.
Doris, Kitana, Dagny, and Wren were originally rescued and later deemed non-releasable, meaning they can’t survive on their own in the wild. They each have unique needs shaped by their individual rescue stories.
