If you live in the OKC area, the zoo is free every Monday through February (I believe) so we went on MLK Day and it was wonderfully warm though rather windy!
This was the first time we went to something like this without a stroller and it was strange having kids old enough to walk on their own for the most part.
This was also the first time that the elephants were there and we made it just in time to sort of see the elephant show...it was so cool seeing the elephants dance, pose and balance. The boys are both old enough to really enjoy the zoo and were captivated by the animals. I could not get C away from the apes!

Oh Boy(s)
In case my children ever decide to look up this blog one day and learn more about their amazing history I wanted to record a few funny things they have done lately:
- Kimball has decided that his nick-name is Dump Truck. If I ask him something like "Kimball go put that away" he'll turn to me sometimes and say "Mom, I think you meant Dump Truck!"
- He is also certain that teasing is not nice at all. One day Dale was teasing him and he exclaimed "That's not very nice Daddy. I'm telling Heavenly Father!" Though it may seem slightly irreverent, I feel grateful that Kimball understands to some degree that he can turn to his Father in Heaven and tell him certain things...even if it's tattling on Daddy.
- Lately, Kimball has been regularly praying that we can have a tornado shelter. Oklahoma, what have you done to us?!
- Poor kid had strep last week and was devastated he had to miss school.
- Cameron exclaimed one day that his name was pizza. This kid is obsessed with pizza...toys he is playing with at any random time are named pizza, the doggie he pretends to be wants pizza...
- He is also getting more aggressive. He will tackle Kimball full force leaving everyone shocked. If he's mad, you'll know it because he will scream "No Kimball" with such force that I want to back away :).

Bowling
While in Albuquerque, my brother's mother-in-law took us all bowling. K had been begging us to take him bowling for a couple of weeks (along with begging to go to a monster truck rally-still working on that one!), so this was the perfect chance for us to go as a family.
Bowling with little kids takes forever, but K & C LOVED it. Bowling shoes have never looked so cute, and it was hilarious watching both of them try to heft around bowling balls that are at least 1/4 of their total body weight. Sadly, both of my children bowled better than I did and it was reaffirmed to me that bowling is not my gift in life.
Thanks so much Sister M for taking us!

Christmas in Albuquerque
This year we decided to surprise Judy's family in Albuquerque...we showed up on Christmas Eve and it was hilarious watching everyone's reactions! Grandma couldn't process why there were little kids in her house and then her eyes and mouth got huge when she realized who those little kids were :). It was a lot of crazy, crowded, loud fun.
K kept exclaiming stuff like "This is the bestest Christmas ever!" and I felt the same...holidays are so much more fun now that we have kids old enough to enjoy and appreciate them. I made matching dinosaur jammies for Dale, K & C and have yet to get a picture of them all together but K is wearing them in the pic above.
Santa brought our boys a garbage truck and a fire truck and these vehicles are very popular right now.
K even wrote out on my gift who it was for and from...this mama's heart was proud!
All in all, we had a blast! Dale & I got to go on a double date to Sweet Tomatoes and Hinkle with my brother and his wife. We had a fun afternoon of mini golf, go-karts, and laser tag without taking a single picture...
