Duke

Puppies are a lot of work...thankfully Duke has gotten to the point he can sleep through the night and has *relatively* few accidents inside. The boys love him and spend as much time as possible with the poor dog and I feel like I'm constantly chaperoning three young creatures all at risk of hurting each other. But, we've definitely gone on more walks recently and Cameron especially enjoys having a playmate while Kimball's at school all day.

Dog pile!
All I can say is, I'm glad kids don't grow as fast as dogs! I can't imagine having to buy clothes every week just so they fit.

Happy Birthday Kimball!

We have a lot of cake around this time of year...in case you couldn't tell :). Anyhow, yesterday was Kimball's birthday and I am reeling that he is 6 years old!!! The first thing I heard from his room yesterday morning was Kimball yelling at the top of his lungs "I'm SIX!". He proceeded to sing the words "I'm six, I'm six,.." for the next 2 hours and made sure everyone at church was well aware of the fact that he is six now. He was also sure to point out the fact that he only has 2 years until he gets baptized.

I'm not one who likes to throw birthday parties (sorry kids!) but I will make them a special cake and treat them as much like royalty as possible on their birthdays :).

ImageSince his birthday was on a Sunday, Kimball was insistent for the longest time that we would celebrate on Monday so we could keep the Sabbath day holy and not make me have to work making his cake on Sunday. At the last minute, the pressure was too much and he decided to celebrate on his actual birthday (who can blame him?!).

The gifts he got were...a cliffhanger firehouse, a Hot Wheels bath toy, a Tag Lightning McQueen book, a VTech switch & go Pteranadon, and a launching Cars toy.

Kimball keeps us laughing and keeps us thinking with all of his questions. He has learned and grown so much this year and we are so blessed to have him in our family.

Happy Birthday Cameron! 4

Cameron's birthday ended up being more exciting than expected...we ended up getting a puppy that we named Duke. Anyhow, for Cameron's birthday, I made a race car cake...

For presents, he got a doctor's kit from Grandma & Grandpa Bundy, a card with some birthday money from Grandpa & Grandma Rex, a transporter truck from Uncle Robert, Lightning McQueen & Mater toys, VTech T-Rex from Mom & Dad, and a front end loader from Mom & Dad.

Some of Cameron's funny quirks are that he insists that his name is Cameron D (good thing his middle name starts with D) and will only let us sign his name for him if the D is included. He has to smell everything before he eats it, shoving it right up under his nose. He still moans when he's happy.

We love this boy SO much and are so blessed to have him in our family. Here's to a fantastic 4 of a year!
