Allison is missing the snow too...how in the world do all these Idaho folk get to be in the warm lands. Sister Fife just said last week, I think I would like warmer weather right now so just where is that global warming any way? Great looking family and if you can't see Joon I figure that dog is under foot somewhere.
Image
Matt and Hayley both are old 27th ward members and they are now living in Concord California. Matt is missing snow right now as he is an Idaho Falls boy through and through....right Matt? Boy does Hayley have her hands full with all those boys.

West coast connection is Violet and her family. They live in Camarillo, CA where ever that is...I am thinking it is close to Ocean Side...they will not be having a white Christmas there no matter how much they are dreaming of one.
Image
Check it out one more East Coast connection. Matt and Leslie always stay in touch...they even came and paid us a visit which we really like to have happen. Great family helping spread the good news on the easter half of the nation.
Image
Just got a card from Melissa "Rogers" Pratt and it brought a smile because I thought we had lost contact with her. What a cute little boy and girl. They live in Wrightwood, CA where ever that is.

Hi Bishop Fife,
It's about time I sent you an update on our little family. Ryan and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Halloween. It has been a great first year of marriage. On September 14, we welcomed little Zoe Franchesca into the world. She is a doll and brings so much joy into our lives. We certainly do love her. Ryan is growing his business as a business coach and I am staying at home enjoying my new "job." I love being a mommy. It's challenging at times, but it is so rewarding, especially when I get that little gummy grin from Zoe. We are also apartment managers at the complex we live at. That keeps us plenty busy too. Life really is good. We are grateful for the binding power of the priesthood and for the comfort it brings to us.

Thank you "Funkybananabuns" for the update! What a cutie Zoe is. Happy day!

Hi Bishop Fife,
First of all, thanks for all the many wonderful emails. I love getting the weekly boost from a long-time friend. Reading your personal story here gives me quite a laugh. Only because I can relate. But, thanks to my husband who lovingly and willingly takes the young children so I can have a more quiet Sunday. Anyway, we are still here in Layton, and will be for some time, I’m sure. Obed just started a new job, now working as a contractor at the Air Base. We especially like the shorter commute! Our three boys are all growing quite quickly. Joseph (5) will be starting kindergarten in the fall and is counting down every day. Sean (3) is trying to learn what it means to be a big brother. Now that Tyler (1) is getting bigger and just wants to be like his big brothers, we have a new outlook on patience. We are all enduring the much needed rain, but can’t understand why it just won’t get to be summer time. I think the thing we are most looking forward to is our trip back east to visit family and some friends. .. and of course the beach! Well, that’s our life in a nutshell. Have a fun summer filled with family visits and memories.

Image Hi Friends and Family,
As some of you know we had our little Oliver Kline Holgate on Friday, March 6th at 7:16 in the morning. He showed up a few days earlier than expected. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz., 19 inches long. He is healthy and very cute. We also just moved into our new home in North Salt Lake a few weeks ago. We love it and are settling in quite well. We all love being so much closer to Kev's job and school. Here are a few pictures of Oliver.
We hope to see many of you soon.
Love,
Kevin, Jasmine, Quinn and Oliver Holgate

Image Bishop Fife,

I'm realizing that I only email you when giant changes happen in our lives. It's naughty of me, but I'll try to do better. At least I'm keeping in touch a little! Just wanted to say hi and see how you guys are doing. We have a new baby daughter Madelyn Nicole. She was born January 23 at 6:21 pm. She was 9 lbs 4 oz and 21.5 inches long. Despite her size we are all doing well. Sydney (our first daughter) is trying to figure out how to cope with a baby sister since she is still somewhat of a baby herself (17 months old now) but is doing better than when Mady was first born 2 weeks ago. I am recovering well and we are all figuring out a new sense of normal! Here are a few pictures of our little family. More can be found on our blog at http://aaronanddevony.blogspot.com. Hope you are well! Have a great day!

Image We welcomed Abby into the world today! We checked into the hospital at 5 am, and they broke Tiff's water at 8 am. When they checked on her at 10 am, she was dilated to a 4, and we were told it'd be another couple hours. About 20 minutes later, the nurse came in, checked Tiff, and much to everyone's surprise, she was ready! They scrambled to find the doctor and get prepared and after another 15 minutes and after 1 push, Abby was here! Tiffany handled it like a pro, and she is in great shape. Both her and Abby are doing wonderful. Abby weighed in at 7 lbs 8 oz and is 19" long. She has beautiful dark hair, and a lot of it!! And the nurses in the nursery said she has a great set of lungs!!She is absolutely beautiful, and we are so blessed to have her. Thank you again for the love and prayers sent our way!

What great old 27th warders...I bet if they had a t-shirt from the ward they Tommy would be wearing it instead of the orange and white.

Tommy and Tiffany have been loyal fans and have stayed in touch over the years.Image

Kersina and Ryan have been married two weeks now so you can see. I thought that I put this up before their wedding but old age again has got me. Kersina sent the following which jogged my mind.

Hi Bishop! Did you get our wedding announcement? I've been checking the blog hoping to see it up there, but alas, it hasn't made it. Let me know if you received it or not. I will send another one if not. I would like for the old 27th warders to be able to keep tabs. I love married life! Ryan and I have been married for 2 weeks now. It's great. He is such a wonderful man. I love always having him there. I hope you and your sweetheart are doing well. Take care.

Image Spencer and Zetta Simpson stopped for a visit this evening. They live in Boise where Spencer works at a hospital there. They have the two boys which are very well behaved. It was fun remembering the old times five years ago. It is always great to have old ward members stop by for a visit. Spencer's parents live here in Idaho Falls and Zetta saw me on Face Book so that is how we got back together. What a fun time we had this evening.

Hey Bishop Fife!
I just came across the 27th Ward website today. It was so fun to see
everybody's families and how they have been doing! Man, it brought
back a flood of great memories. I miss the old 27th ward. Here is a
quick update on me and my family.
My wife (Ashley) and I currently live in Lehi, Utah with our two kids.
Graysen (girl) 3 years old, and Carter (boy) 1. I'm currently
working as a Web Designer for Deseret Book and really enjoy it. Life
sure keeps us busy. Check out our blog at lanenga.com/familyblog.

-Chad Lanenga

We have been wondering what ever happened to Chad. Many a person who should know didn't know but now we all know. Thanks Chad for the update...what a great looking family you have. Happy day and Mizpah, cbf

Image Matt and Leslie with their boys Christian and Jack paid us a visit Saturday the 12th of July. They have been visiting family here in Idaho for a week and I think they went to Yellowstone too. Today they went to church with Matt's sister then it was a long flight back to BWI for them. It was fun having them visit. Last week Abby and family came so you all are invited to visit as well. Ricky was in the area but didn't stop...shame on her.

Image Devony and Aaron don't look a day older but now they have Sydney to chase after the mature look is going to be coming on fast. Below is what they wrote and it will explain any questions you might have.

Hello Bishop! I'm late getting these to you but at least they are coming! We were able to finalize our adoption on March 12 and get sealed in the Rexburg Temple the day before Easter. It was a really quick trip so we didn't get to see hardly anyone except our immediate families at the temple, but it was a lovely day all the same. Aaron blessed Sydney the next day, which was also lovely. Here are a few pictures of us at the temple. The other picture is of Sydney a week ago at 7 1/2 months old. She is getting so big and is in a constant stage of discovery. She does something new almost every day! She's tons of fun and we feel so blessed to have her in our family! We hope that you are all doing well and staying happy, healthy, and busy! We are still in Colorado and loving it. We are happy that spring is coming around and end up at the park most days! I have the best job ever now being home with her! Please let us know how you are doing! Thanks for always updating the ward blog! You're great! We miss and love you!
