I wrote a little “me” instead of “ME” with capitals because I am realising how little we really are (in the grand scheme of things)! I hope to share my journey both my experiences old and new as I try to make sense of my life. I grew up in the USA and moved to Sweden because of love when I was 21. It was a whirlwind for sure, an adventure I decided to continue even though I have felt way out of control to many times!
Co-dependency therapist. After working with co-dependent individuals through my profession I recognise that co-dependency touches every walk of life. The challenges this lifestyle choice creates result in the development of negative feelings no matter the issue one is co-dependent too. Negative feelings that normally can be worked through become mentally crippling for co-dependents such as seclusion, guilt, blame, anger, confusion, depression, helplessness, control issues, fear and shame.
Self help groups have been developing programs that now address the similarities shared by family members and close friends of individuals with addictive behavior, mental/ physical illness and severe physical disabilities. This is a positive new wave of research and information! The question remains, how do we help our co-dependent families realise the similarities and bridge the gaps between the current self-help programs while crushing the myth that co-dependents are alone to deal with the “problem” and solely responsible for the solution.
I have a million plans, ideas and dreams and just want to keep track of and share this crazy thing called life.

And this is an example of a comment!! 🙂 I’ve never come to an ‘about’ page and seen this…
