Here is the map I sent out to all the girls:
The map outlined the party venue. We started at the castle where they were given "treasure boxes" to decorate.
Afterwards we traveled to the Enchanted Forest where they hunted for bugs and glow in the dark stars. I blacked out the windows and borrowed plants from several people.
I also had "night" ambiance music playing in the back ground. We used it to play the "poison apple" game (hot potato but with a red apple). When they were caught with the apple in their hand they were suppose to fall asleep (like Snow White) but they wanted to watch the last two girls who tied they were so good!
Then Ellia found the apple and ate it. Eeeweeewee.
After the Enchanted Forest we traveled to the Mermaid Lagoon (the loft). Where they swam in the balloons we had covered the floor in. We attempted to have them pop as many balloons as they could, but they were all such light weights no one could pop them so we just had them hold as many as they could.
Then we played the frog prince game. We put bright red lipstick on the girls and they kissed the frog prince cutout. Then we blindfolded the girls and they tried to get him back to his lilypad. They loved this game! But FYI 1$ store lipstick doesn't come off....
Then the balloon fun continued...
Then it was time to travel to the Fairy's Flower garden. I guess I should have said that at each place they received a different treasure for their box. So they kept the stars and bugs from the enchanted forest and got a necklace for the poison apple game. Then a lip gloss for the frog price game and bubbles for the balloons. A flower bracelet and wand for the fairy garden.
In the fairy garden we had lunch, butterfly sandwiches, fruit I attempted to shape into flowers (FYI don't use paper sticks...they get soggy fast!!) ships, and pink lemonade in fancy glasses. I put a blanket on the floor so they could have a picnic, but I don't think I would do it again since they had a hard time not knocking each others plates, glasses, etc.
Then it was time for the flower cupcakes! And singing to the beautiful birthday girl!
And after all the goodies, we opened gifts...
THANK YOU TO ALL for a wonderful birthday! Adalei had such a blast with her friends and we hope you did too!!
Happy Birthday Adalei!!
