She'll spend Eternity with Jesus!

On Sunday night, October 21, Chloe asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior.  Josh and I think Chloe has known Jesus for a long time, but have waited for her to be a little older before she nailed it down. I remember driving in the car over a year ago to our friends the Tyner's house. When we arrived Chloe told me she had asked Jesus into her heart on the way there. I asked her what that meant and what she prayed. She answered everything perfectly. Josh and I have prayed that the Lord would let us know when she was ready and not hold her back. While Josh was putting her to bed Sunday night she said she wanted to ask Jesus in her heart. He asked her what that meant,  her answer was that she wanted Jesus to forgive her of all her sins she's done all her life, that she knows he died on the cross for her and she wanted him to come change her life forever. All her words! Her prayer to Jesus was so sweet and I'm so glad Josh and I were both able to be there to pray with her. Even Carson got to share in it as he had just come out of his room for his usually drink of water after we put him to bed :). What a special night. Chloe shared with our Pastor Hollie her decision and she'll be baptized by her Grandpa on Sunday, November 17th. Praising Jesus we'll get to share eternity together!

Another little to carry on the Ellis name!

Baby Ellis Due November 3, 2013

Our family verse we picked at the beginning of the year is Ephesians 4: 21 "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more then we could ask or imagine according to his power that is at work with in us. To him be glory forever and ever". He has certainly given us more then we could imagine and we are so thankful.

Frequently asked questions:
1) Were you planning on having another baby? No we weren't! We were quite shocked in fact.
2) Are you still adopting? Yes! However, our adoption agency has put us on a hold until 6 months after the baby is born which will be May 2014.
3) What do the kids think? They are pumped! Chloe was of course hoping for a girl but she's taking the news of a boy like a champ :)

Date Night with my little Man!

ImageChloe had been sick for several days and I had been getting a little stir crazy. Josh very thoughtfully planned some time for Carson and I to go out and eat together. Carson got himself all dressed up and hid in his room until Josh got home :) He rung the door bell and greeted me with a " Wow Mommy you look Beautiful, did that hurt", "Did what hurt?", " When you fell down out of heaven?". Oh my, I wonder who's been giving him dating advice, (Josh). We had dinner and Carson had a list of questions to ask me about. Josh was super sweet to make everything extra special. It also was a great opportunity for Carson to begin to learn how to treat a lady and how to get to know someone. We had a great time and Carson all on his own doing asked if he could treat me to Fro Yo because he had a "free coupon from school". That made the whole date. I'm so thankful!

A Man's best friend.....

Image

Welcome to the Ellis family Tebow! This is our super cute new Puppy. We've been discussing getting a dog for a little while now. We visited the animal shelter a few weeks ago but didn't see any dog that we thought was ours. On the way home from Josh's office a few weeks ago the kids and I saw a sign on a street near our house that said " Free lab mix Puppy's". I gave the number a call, and then next thing I knew Josh was brining home our new little addition.

I should have know when I sent Josh to check the Puppy out that we would be bringing him home the same night. We're thankful for our friends the Phillip's who had a crate, dog bowls, and a leash they weren't using. Tebow was born on October 19 and we brought him home November 19 when he was just 5 1/2 weeks. The family that had him were looking to get rid of the puppies and felt they were ready. Although we thought he was still young to be away from his Mom we knew if we didn't take him then someone else would. We love this little Puppy so much! He's like to chew on everything. So far he hasn't destroyed anything but I know that day is coming! The kids are a great help with him and I'm hoping that doesn't wear off any time soon. Puppies are hard work people, fun but work!

Our 2012 Summer

As usual I'm way behind on the Blog. I'm getting ready to post the kids top 10 for the 2012 school year, so I figure I better get around to updating on the last few months. In an effort to make this short and sweet I'll just post a few pictures/videos of how we spent the summer. We kicked things off with swim lessons for Chloe. She has come a long way this summer.

Josh and I celebrated 10 years of marriage.

It was a awesome summer and it flew by. Carson started first grade last week and I am missing him so much when he's gone. Chloe starts preschool tomorrow and she is super excited. I'm treasuring this last year with my girl while she's still at home most days. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself when both kids are in school next year. I hope we'll have an adoption referral by this time next year and have brought home our new little ones. The wait is soooo long!
