OLY JR. WRESTLING

Jake just finished his wrestling season with Olympus Junior High. They started practicing every day the 1st week of January for 2 hrs a day and yesterday was their last tournament. He said the workouts were a killer...much harder than football. He really enjoyed getting to know the boys on the team. I am always so impressed of the dedication and drive our kids have. He had some great matches and not such great matches. Way to stick with it Jake and keep your commitment to the team.

PRESIDENTS CUP

Will played in a tournament in St. George over Presidents Day weekend. It was fun spending 3 days and 3 nights there. Mike stayed home to watch Jake in a wrestling tournament (we sure missed them), so it was just Me, Rachel, Will and Sadie that went. We stayed once again with the Little's in Holly's parents home. What a great little getaway. It was CRAZY how many people we saw there from Salt Lake. Will's team played 3 games (2 losses and 1 win).ImageImageImage

SADIE'S BAPTISM

Sadie had her baptism last Saturday. It was such a great day. Rachel was part of the program and gave a talk on the importance of baptism. Sadie celebrated her special day with lots of friends, family and even her teacher from school. It was such a nice service and the spirit was very strong. We are so grateful for Sadie's decision to be baptized. After the baptism we had a little get together at our house with family and friends. Later that day we took the kids downtown to eat at the Garden Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was so fun to sit at the table and look at the temple while we ate. What a beautiful setting for such an important day. After our dinner we went and toured the Beehive House. None of our kids have been through it, so it was a fun thing to do together as a family. What a great day of celebrating :)

I was even brave enough and bore my testimony in sacrament. It was a pretty big deal, since I RARELY do this. I just had to tell Sadie publicly how proud we were of her and her decision to be baptized. I also wanted my children to know that I have a testimony of this gospel and that I am so grateful to have it in my life. I couldn't imagine raising our kids without the gospel as our base. We as parents, need all the help we can get :)ImageWe LOVE you Sadie!
