Easter Egg Hunt

Image
We attended the nearby church that hosted a community Easter Egg Hunt for kids 1-10years old.

This is our second year attending the hunt, the church is so gracious they have donut holes and coffee, face painting,  balloons & clowns entertaining the kids before the hunt.

Best of all the kids enjoy their prizes when they get a golden ticket in their egg.

The hunt begins....

The girls actually teamed up in each of their age group, one would hold the bag and the other
would pick up the egg.

there were 12,000 eggs in all

Favorite Friday Photo ~ I {Heart} ribs

I didn't realize how much my girls love ribs until tonight.

We ordered from a little hole in the wall "true Texan" restuarant, We didn't realize how good it was, they had really good reviews on YELP and our local restuarnat reviewers.

They had everything from ribs to rib tips and briskets and texan chili, it sure was YUMMO!

The licked their 10 little fingers and smacking their lips until their was no BBQ sauce left!

Ava who barely eats had 3 huge ribs and tips.

We will definately be back for more yummy ribs and tips!

She looks so grown up in this pic and I love how the light has given this a hazy effect.

renovations - basement

Image
after 5 years of living in this house, we decided to finally finish the basement.  When we brought the house it was already plumbed for the bathroom and there were several walls that were sectioned for bedrooms etc.

we had a hard time planning on what to do with the floors, we have don't have a walkout so the sump pump was our biggest issue if we have heavy rain or extreme melting in the spring.

We contemplated on carpet vs. carpet tile, then it was hardwood floors. overall, we decided to do tile and carpet.  It turned out beautifully!

Image
Built in cabinets that we replicated from the upstairs.

With the help of Alan mom, it turned out awesome. We know have plenty of storage.

Image
we also put in radiant heating in the tiles.....sooooo nice on our feet in the winter months.

Image
we will soon have built in cabinets for the bathroom to put towels and other things.

and now the complete look coming down the basement
