Now that Adahleigh feels that she has mastered walking and running she has decided to move onto climbing. As you can see she insisted on unwrapping her presents while standing on another present Christmas Eve while Ash's family was here.

On Christmas day she waited till all presents were opened and then found the biggest and sturdiest present around to climb on.

She has also observed how the radio works and has taken it upon herself to open drawers and climb in them so that she can run the controls.


So far there have been no accidents from her monkey play, but the other day she tried to run through a closet door, but instead caught the corner and about tore her ear off. You can't see it in the picture, but about an hour after it happened the distal end of her ear was bright red from the cut on while the proximal portion wasn't. It looked pretty funny.

Snow! Snow! and more Snow!

Pocatello got hit pretty good during Christmas week. So Friday I had to literally go dig out the car so we could go get some groceries. Adahleigh was really excited to get out of the house again as you can tell. Ash is really excited that she can put Adahleigh's hair up now too. You can see her two antennas in the pics.

 

Gingerbread House

This year we decided to make gingerbread houses from scratch. Ashley was the one most interested in it, but Adahleigh sure liked sampling all the different types of candy.


Everything was going well, but the frosting wasn't drying very fast. To help the house from collapsing we put candy cane braces at the edge of the roof (as you can see).

The braces only prolonged the inevitable, so after about a half and hour the house looked like this.

After about an hour or so this ended up being the end product, without any help from Adahleigh.

Sledding

We took Adahleigh out sledding the other day after we got a few inches of snow. She enjoyed riding in the tube and walking in the snow, but didn't want to play in it much.

In the Life of Adahleigh!!

I have not updated much on what adahleigh has been up to so let me catch you up.

-She has been off the bottle ever since her birthday, now she likes sippy cups or the cups with the straws.
-She is such a good little eater and is learning to not be that messy. (there isn't much she wont eat).
-Everyday it seems like she is getting faster and faster!!
-She is talking a lot more and is just like a little parrot. She is really good with her a's and can say adahleigh and azure. Adam has recently taught her lizard, she can say thank you, and is learning please. A few more words, fishes, help, up, uh oh, NO,
-She loves to just jabber though, her favorite is when you tell her no she usually turns around and points her little finger at you and just start jabbering. It is the funniest thing.
-She has started being my little helper anything i do she helps with, the other day it was washing the dishes and then helping me put them away, she likes to help feed her fish, she loves to help me with the laundry and every-time i dust she has to go get a towel from my towel drawer and run it along any surface she can get her hands on, vacuuming has become a favorite she use to run when i turned it on but now she has to try to help push.
-She loves running around and hanging out with her friends.
- Last but not least she now sleeps in a big girl bed. We have been out of the crib for 5 days now and mom and dad have actually had 4 full nights of sleep.

Everyday she finds a new way to entertain us, she is such a joy to have around.

Pumpkin Carving!

We know its a little late but we finally manage to carve our pumpkins today!

She had no problem sticking her hand in the instances we took the top off.

and of course it went straight to her mouth.

While we were finishing up she had managed to throw it everywhere while she was playing in it.


As we cleaned out the pumpkins and put it in the bowl adahleigh was just as fast to react and putting in back in the pumpkin.

Happy Halloween!

This year for halloween as many of you know adahleigh was piglet! She looked so cute in her little costume! She really enjoyed running around and going door to door with her friends! We had to laugh everytime someone handed her a piece of candy to put in her bag she always turned around and dropped it in her friends big orange pumpkin bucket! She still made off with quite a bit of candy.

The men enjoyed taking the kids to the door! None of the kids would say trick or treat so they would come to the door and all the men would say trick or treat!

This is how we roll now a days. Jacoby is her favorite riding buddy! I don't know if i ever posted pictures of our latest purchase but i will! Its my new double stroller!

Adahleigh was more interested in the miniture puppy dog than she was in trick or treating. The lady had her door open so it was just the screen door so she kept squating down playing with the dog while they waited for them to come to the door.

When all was said and done we walked three miles and hit about 20 houses. They even managed to get a grandma to sit out on her porch and sing them a halloween song! We have yet to carve our pumpkins but we are going to do it this week so more pics to come!!

A little update!

I apologize for not updating very often anymore. Adam usually has the computer with him and since he goes straight to work from school i dont have access to the internet. And by the time he gets home and night its just nice to spend some time with him.

But i thought i would update you all a little on whats been going on the last little while. Adam is still going to school, working, and studying all day long. Im still just at home with adahleigh. There is not alot of free time so we dont get out and do much. Here are some things adahleigh has been up to....

Everyday it seems like she is getting bigger. She has grown so tall now she can help her self to anything.
She enjoys going to the park and hanging out with her friends. Her vocabulary is growing she can now say quite a few words. She loves playing with her toys and reading books. She is very helpful around the house. She loves going to nursery.... (i know she is a little young but she still enjoys it.) A couple weeks ago Adam put her down after sacrement and she took off and ran straight to the nursery door and was banging on it for someone to open it. She loves to give hugs. But those are just a few things.

Other than that things are going well. Were just trying to make it through the rest of this semester and things should slow down. Well atleast until the next one comes. The pregnancy is going well i feel great and the doc says the baby sounds great. I have only gained ten pounds so far but the doctor said he is growing like he should. But thats about it with us! Hopfully we will update again soon!!

Adahleigh eating at the table. I have recently been looking for one of these little miniture high chairs for adahleigh. I finally found one at the di for five dollars in excellent condition. Ever since we got a big table her high chair was always in the way. So now she eats dinner with us at the table. She loves it!! Here are a few pictures of her eating.

A day of relaxation!

Last week adam had a couple days off school and a day off work. So we got to hang out together as a family. We started the day by going to the pharmacy fair where adam got a few opportunities to talk with some stores about a possible intern this next summer. We also got a whole new collection of junk to store at our house. (all the freebies the stores give away to promote there company) Afterwards adam took us all out for pizza. They had a soft serve ice cream machine and since no one in our family can pass up ice cream we decided to let adahleigh have her own cone. She ate it really good at first but by the end she had stuck her finger into the bottom of the cone and the ice cream was melting. Overall though we had a fun day just being able to hang out and not having to worry about anything!

Adaheigh is learning and growing everyday! Here are a few things that i can do

* I love to talk and jabber.
*I walk anywhere i want......i can almost run.
*I am learning the stairs and can climb them easily. I have not had much expierence going down so im still learning.
*I Love fruit!
*I hardly eat baby food anymore and usually have what mommy and daddy are having.
*I have recently started drinking from my sippy cup (bye-bye bottle)!
*I have learned to take off my own socks.
*I give hugs.
*I love to go outside and play with my friends!
*I have recently come to love showering instead of a bath!
*I love to help mommy do what ever is doing....i am very helpful!
*I love when my daddy comes home. (I usually follow him around the rest of the night)
*My hair is growing and whenever mommy and daddy comb it i always have to help by running my hands through it.
* I love riding in the car exspecially now that my carseat faces forward so i can see around me!
* I love to play with any kind of animal!
*I wave goodbye to anyone who is leaving!

She was so wired after eating her cake she ran around crazy. She really seemed like she enjoyed her birthday!

We want to thank everyone who came and for everyone who sent her something! She loved it all! She likes to hall the cards around and look at them!

Our Newest Purchase!

Over the weekend we ran to ogden and made this purchase! The guy originally wanted $500 for it. Adam told him he would give him $400 for it and the guy was just fine with that. Well it has an extra leaf thats fold up inside of it and we thought the table should be smaller in order to get it into our mini yota! Well when we went to push it together it it got stuck the guy and adam were both sweating from pushing and shoving. They went at it for almost a half hour. Finally they got it stuck together! The guy told us that if we didnt want it anymore he would understand! But we told him we did and he said he would not take more than $300! We finally bargained enough to settle at $350. (We thought the table was worth alot more)! Needless to say when they went to load it it would not fit out the doorway so they had to go out the back door and around the house which he was doing knew landscape so it was kinda muddy. I thought i had packed enough blankets but i didnt so the guy was so generous and donated one. He also gave us a lottery ticket.......he said there is like five dollars on it.....well being the big gamblers we our we have no idea what that means. Needless to say we feel we got a good deal!! It took us awhile to get home because we took the back roads because we almost lost a chair cuz the rope fell down. I guess thats what we get for trying to shove that big of table and eight chairs into the yota!

Peach Daize!!!!!

Ashley wanted to take Adahleigh down to brigham this weekend for the peach days celebration to see the parade and enjoy the carnival. Here are a few of the photos from the fun filled weekend.

Adahleigh didn't know what to think of the parade, especially at first because all the emergency vehicle were blaring their horns and sirens, so she wasn't too happy to be there at first to say the least.

After a bit she calmed back down and decided the parade wasn't so bad after all. She liked sitting on the edge of the trailer with Ashley's aunts (Amy in the picture and Sue) to watch.

Since the parade was soooooo long adahleigh got bored of sitting and watching and decided to get down and run around.

Ashley's friend Misty ran into us and stopped to talk a while so Adahleigh thought it would be alright to get a peek at her daughter.

After the parade we went back to to Ashley's Grandparents for lunch with the family and Adahleigh ate her fill and then, with dads help, sample all the ice that was dumped out on the lawn after everyone was done eating.

Ashley also got her fill and enjoyed herself.

After eating we all went back to the carnival and Grampa Wilde wanted to get a picture of Adahleigh by the bikes for Peter.

Everyone also wanted her to take a ride of the carousel. At first she didn't mind it, but by the end it couldn't get over quick enough.
