I confess that I am not a huge movie watcher, although I have been getting more into them over the past two years or so.

TV shows: Law & Order:SVU, Stranger Things, Wednesday, Son Of A Critch (though I have yet to see the latest season). I will also watch the occasional episode of Is It Cake? when the mood strikes. In the past I've enjoyed Pushing Daisies, Boston Public, Call the Midwife, Zoo (anyone remember that one?), Starling and Republic Of Doyle. As you see, I am not a huge TV watcher either *blush*.

I'm looking to meet people who: are kind, empathetic, funny, open-minded and understanding. While it's cool if we have stuff in common, it's not a necessity to me - a lot of the best friends I've made on here have completely different interests. In fact, I love getting to know what kinds of things other people like and maybe even give that song/band/movie/book/whatever a try myself :) we can inspire each other!

My posting schedule tends to be: I try to post at least twice a week - I do a "What Are You Reading Wednesday" post (guess on which day? LOL) every week, and usually catch up on daily life every Sunday. Random posts may happen too ;)

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Discrimination/intentional bigotry of any kind. I say "intentional" because we all have subconscious prejudices and mess up once in a while and as long as we're open to learn from it, that's okay. Extreme black and white-thinking on any issue - I value critical thinking.

Before adding me, you should know: I have a few mental health issues, so my journal might not be puppies and sunshine all the time. So if you are a person who can't take "too much negativity" on their flist, I might not be the right friend for you. That's not meant to sound rude, it's rather that I want to feel free to let out my feelings in my journal without worrying where the line crosses into "too much" if that makes sense?

The former can also mean that I sometimes don't comment or read as much as I want to, same applies to when life gets busy. I always try to be there as much as I can though, and I always come back and catch up eventually!

Lastly, I am neurodivergent, most likely on the autism spectrum somewhere (just still undiagnosed because it is very difficult to even get an appointment for an assessment where I live :(). I say that because it means I sometimes take things too literally or may misunderstand something, or don't see all the nuances of what you wrote. So if I ever say something that comes across as rude, or put my foot in my mouth, please do give me the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't my intention to be offensive and give me a chance to explain myself. Sometimes I vent when I need to about whatever it is in my life that weighs me down or stresses me too much. Or if I have a strong opinion or thoughts on something that lingers.

Other times I write out songs that either help spread awareness to others about real-world issues that should be addressed, or just me expressing my thoughts about things I strongly think are so crazy-backwards and self-destructive things. (AKA, Liberty-Minded Tunes.)

I also have been writing a lot of songs centered around fictional characters. My main 4 are psychological horror/cosmic horror themed baddies. A few others are like comfort and supportive friends of mine--two OCs and my own silly and too cute interpretation of the Nintendo character, Kirby!

Other than music making and writing, I enjoy anime and manga. I like animated films and have a list of favorite movies, some I still have on DVD (woooo). And if in the mood, I do some gaming! My posting schedule tends to be: Whenever I feel like I have something to say, but I try to aim for at least once a week. I'm trying to get back into the habit of updating regularly after I had a bad experience with someone who made me feel self-conscious about what I post, and I'm trying hard to stop overthinking it and get back to posting whatever I feel like, but sometimes it's difficult and I struggle with that 'no one cares' voice. But I also realise no one knows me if I only update once in a blue moon and never say anything about myself.

My journal's 99% locked because it is my safe space, but I unprivated some of my more recent entries for now so anyone can see if they'd vibe with my posting style/subjects. I mainly post about my personal life (my husband is my closest friend and pops up a lot), whatever games I'm playing or other media I'm into, and other random thoughts or opinions.

🎮 I'm an avid video gamer, and my favorite game is (for a mainstream answer) Mass Effect 2, though it's very hard to choose!

📖 I also love to read anything, including literary classics and fanfiction of my favorite ships! One day I'll actually track my completed books... I enjoy learning new facts no matter how mundane or morbid, so Wikipedia and likeminded sites are a comfort. My favorite book is Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.

🎵 I love all kinds of music, though I mainly listen to K-pop. Since I grew up listening to Korean music, I have a fondness for 2nd gen groups though now my taste is kind of all over. My favorite group is BTS and I hope to see them again with their upcoming world tour!

I'm looking to find friends with journals similar to me, though we don't have to necessarily be into the same things. I like to read about other peoples' lives since they're typically so different from my own! I also like reading other peoples' reviews or recommendations. Sometimes there can be a lull in my own posting with how busy I can get some days, but I always come back. Dreamwidth is one of the few social medias I still use, so it's important to me. I've been regularly(ish) journaling for 2 years now.

Anyway if I seem interesting enough, I'm all up for being friends!
