My boys...

Image

I love this picture of Adam and his boy!!
My friend Julie http://www.juliedenningphotography.blogspot.com/ took our family pictures and did such a good job!  It was fun to see her and do a little catching up.
She captured these two just as they were both smiling at me :)
There aren't words to describe how precious this picture is to me.... thanks Julie!

true love

This 10 month old gives me wrinkles and not the kind that stem from lack of sleep, stress, or worry.  No, I've got definite smile lines :)
Some days my cheeks actually hurt after I've spent time snuggling, kissing and watching him!
I wonder what it is about him that I love so much?
Is it:
his cheeks
his laugh
the way he crawls
his top teeth
the way he balances on his bum and kicks his chunky legs
how he loves his bath and we both come out wet
or because he looks like and loves his daddy
is it his thick feet
or the way he claps his big hands
is it when he holds on to my fingers when he wants me to sing nursery rhymes
how he is SO ticklish
or that fact that most of the time he just wants me :)
is it that Dye chin
is it because I see in him his potential and dream about who he will be
or just the fact that he is my son?

All of the above I think and oh, how I could go on!  I tell ya this is true love ;)

Radom Happenings...

Image
Happy 28th to me!  Breakfast in bed is done much the same as it was in the "old days" when we did it for our Mom... carefully watching her take every bite and then realizing your own hunger... before you know it Mom wonders whether or not she got to taste much of her early morning surprise  :)  Haha!  Love it!

 Christmas Eve Jamies!

My beautiful sister and her kids came to stay with Grandma while my Parents were in DC. Brody was a good "baby Jesus" and I loved how seriously they all took their roles.  Aisha loved it so much we had to read and act it out for several days.  If you can't tell Sadie is an angel.... It's the prettiest fabric we could find!

Grandma wanted to get the kids presents and she could hardly wait to open them on Christmas Eve.  The kids were so cute and thankful to Grandma Boyer!

We got a blanket of beautiful snow Christmas Eve and morning.... perfect for pulling a sled full of giggly girls behind the four wheeler!

Ready for sledding in -4 degrees!  It didn't last long for this one :)

A pretty happy boy!  Especially after a good nap!

 Very proud of Rapunzel's pigtails!

Is this not the cutest 6 month old boy you've ever seen?!
Ok, but isn't that what all moms think?

He can't really sit up yet... good timing on my part :)

A day for Brody...

Brody Adam Dye was blessed yesterday
What a beautiful day it was.  We had so much support from loving family and were thankful for all those who came to celebrate this special day with us.  We missed our loved ones who couldn't be there :(

Adam gave a beautiful blessing (even through Brody's crying!)  and the spirit was so strong.  It was followed by a powerful testimony meeting.... what an awesome day and what a BLESSING he is to our family!

Did I mention...

That 2 1/2 months ago, this little stud muffin joined our family?!

I'm a horrible blogger especially since I now have 4 little shadows :)
WOW!  Everyone told me "if you can do 3, you can do 6!"  Well, I must be some kind of wuss because 4 has definitely been BUSY!!!  I'm still a little scared to go anywhere with all 4 by myself.  But in the same breath I can say that it's the happiest I've ever been and we're sooooo in love with this BOY!  I love how strong he is, how big he is, and I love boy clothes!  He is just all around FUN!  It takes a lot of effort to resist kissing and squeezing him all day!

I have lots of catching up to do, but I took time today to show off my hunk and what he looks like now.  Stay in tune for my Baby Story and summer fun (mostly so I can remember)

Lucky 7

I'm a little behind, but Abby turned seven in April!! Seven? I just cannot wrap my head around it. It's so cliche to say it, but she is growing way too fast. I have tons of memories of when I was seven. And here I am 20 years later with a family of my own! It really hits hard because I was seven when my Dad passed away and I think how many memories she is already creating.   I do, however, love having a "grown-up" around to talk to and laugh with during the day. She is my right hand lady and I love Abbs with all my heart. I rejoice and ache in her joys and sorrows as I relive the stages she goes through. What joy she has brought to us these past seven years!

Abby takes pretty good care of these two hulagins:)  Something so special about sisters!

You are so special, Abby.  Never forget that and always know how much you are loved!

Guess what...

I finally got my ultrasound! You'll never guess what it is...
It's a...
BOY!
We could not be more excited! I had a feeling that it was a boy all along, but having three ultrasounds previous, it took me off guard to hear those words "it's a boy" and see that little boy part :)
Adam was late getting there so the tech looked at everything else and made sure the babe was okay. I love every part of ultrasounds. It was even more of a miracle to me yesterday looking at that perfect little body with perfect little parts. It doesn't get old for me I still cried when I saw the cute profile, toes and fingers! How amazing it is that the growth of a human can take place inside of me! If you really think about it, 9 months is pretty fast for a baby to develop all that it needs to sustain this crazy life.
Anyway, we were almost done with the ultrasound, Adam rushes in and she went right to the fun part. When she said it was a boy, of course I cried, but we all cheered and gave high fives! The girls were beaming and Aisha was jumping up and down saying "I knew it, I knew it" Adam also shouted "we just never gave up hope" HA! He had to rush back to the clinic, but he was walking a little taller and couldn't hide those dimples that come when he smiles!
We would have been thrilled with another girl, but it's exciting to mix it up a little bit. All I really hope and pray for is that he's healthy and strong.
