Naomi tagged me a while back to do this assignment. I didn't get a chance to do it right away.
    Here's my assignment Miss Naomi
. I'm sorry for the delay.
I am… a mother and no one can take that away from me.
I cry… when I'm happy, sad, and anything that melts my heart.
I want… to see my family to succeed and be happy at all time.
I have… sponsor my sister to come to Canada; just waiting for now.
    I wish… for a getaway to Italy.
I hate… people like Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo.
I miss… my family in the Philippines.
I dance… comfortably only with my husband.
I fear… of losing my loved ones.
    I hear… a friend said I'm a strong and courageous woman.
I look… at myself as a loving wife and a mother.
I love… God, my husband and my daughter.
I ache… for mothers who lost their babies.
I sing… lullabies for my daughter Abigail.
I need… to take my husband in the Philippines.
I must… save money for the future of my Abigail.
I blog… to meet friends from all over the world and to share something of myself through writing.
I search… for the truth and nothing but the truth.
I regret… that I wasn't able to say goodbye when my father passed away.
I am not… a snob, I'm actually a very friendly if you know me well.
I write… whatever I want that pleases me. I hope it pleases you.
I should… work as a Midwife but instead I choose to work in a car industry
I wonder… if I will be able to go back in the Philippines soon.

I will pass this on to Miss Jenny, Miss Cherry Rose, Miss Anna P, Miss Honey, Miss Lutchi, and Miss Ivy… Finish the sentence after the dots…

    Here's our favorite song

  • Bless,
  • I'm afraid that we don't have a good voice to sing but I'm proud to say that we can dance the night away.

  • Could I have this dance
    Anne Murray

I'll always remember the song they were playin',
The first time we danced and I knew,
As we swayed to the music and held to each other,
I fell in love with you.

Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we're together, it feels so right.
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?

I'll always rememImageber that magic moment,
When I held you close to me.
    'Cause we moved together,
    I knew forever,
    You're all I'll ever need

Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Would you be my partner every night?
When we're together, it feels so right.
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?

Would you be my partner every night?
When we're together, it feels so right.
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?

Image hosted by Photobucket.comWith summer in full swing, it's a great time to remind you about the cancer risks involved with cooking food on the grill in this must-read MSNBC piece. The dangers of heterocyclic amines (HCAs), substances formed in the muscle proteins of fish, red meat and poultry when cooked in high heat that can damage DNA and begin the process of cancer development.
But you may not know, people who eat the most barbecued red meat — beef, lamb or pork — almost doubled their risk of colon polyps which can develop into colon cancer. And because these carcinogens may travel through the bloodstream, HCAs can be a factor in other cancers too.
Some safer ways to cook your meats:
    * Reduce the formation of HCAs by cooking meats at lower temperatures.
    * Flipping meats about every minute.
    * Marinating meats almost completely eliminates HCAs (although scientists are still investigating which ingredients do the most good).
    * Use a thermometer to ensure your meat is cooked thoroughly. The longer meat cooks, the better the chance HCAs will form.
These same cautions don't apply to grilling fruits and vegetables, however. The natural phytochemicals contained in vegetables generate enzymes that convert HCAs to inactive substances that can be easily and safely eliminated by your body.

    HEMEROCALLIS (hem-er-o-KAL-is)Greek translates to

    "Beautiful for a Day"

Daylilies arrived in Europe from China, Japan, Korea and Eastern Siberia, during the 16th century, and by the 17th century had crossed the Atlantic to North America. Crude homesteads being carved out of the forests in the New World were beautified by transplants from the Old Country. They were the carefree choice of pioneers who had no time to spend fussing with ornamentals. The appeal of the daylily with its vigor and rock hardiness, along with its ease in propagating, made it the perfect perennial. The plant also multiplies well and is seldom bothered by insects or disease. Of the dozen plus Hemerocallis wild species, two were definite favorites: the Tawny Daylily (H.fulva) and the Lemon Daylily (H.lilasphodelus). Both were treasured possessions at the turn of this century. Many escaped from abandoned homesteads and old cemeteries, naturalizing themselves with ease, and on occasion were referred to as roadside weeds in Eastern North America.Early English and European hybridizers created the first new crosses, but an American, A.B. Stout, deservedly became the most renowned of all.
