Motherhood is a very challenging job. It's a very difficult task and yet very rewarding. It takes a lot of patience, love and understanding. I love my daughter very much. She is the very best thing that has happened to me. I've been through a lot before she came into our lives. Having her is the most precious gift that we have ever received. I lost my first baby and, after that, it has been very difficult and frightening for me. I was able to survive because of my faith in God and with the help of my husband and his faith in God as well. And when the time came God answered my prayer. I was pregnant with Abigail. And even then it was very emotional for me. I was scared that something was going to happen with my pregnancy. I just kept praying and praying that everything will be fine. Somewhere along the way I was able to surpass it…until one day in the eighth month of my pregnancy Abigail was born. It was another scary time for me and my husband but in the end it was a Miracle indeed. That's why and how I took the title " Abigail Faith is a Miracle" for Abby's Blog. And the name "Faith" symbolizes our faith in God for giving us a daughter.
And then another problem arose shortly after she was born. A birthmark or Hemangioma developed on her cheek. You may read her story in my previous post found in her blog. Anyway, when Abigail was born I was planning or not taking anything for granted. However I failed. I failed Abigail. She fell out of bed because I wasn't there for her. I didn't protect her from the possibility that she might fall out of our bed, when I wasn't looking. I didn't do my responsiblity as a mother. I wasn't thinking and I am so guilty.
Lesson Learned:
1. I should not have left Abby alone in our bed sleeping knowing she can roll-over and knowing that she sometimes doesn't cry out when she wakes up.
2. I should have used the monitor so that I can hear her right away but I didn't.
3. I should have thought and remembered that I've seen her on the edge of our bed before but I didn't do anything about it. I keep saying laterbut now it's too late.
Thankfully nothing happened to her but I wish she had never fallen.
