2 months already

The past 2 months have been a whirlwind looking back.  I've had some long days in those two months, but majority of it has been pretty dang good.  The first two nights back home from the hospital totally sucked with only getting about 6 hours total sleep, but after that it only got better.  Trev is such a sweet baby and only cries when he is hungary.  So on a full stomach he just hangs out and observes.  He is the gassiest baby ever to be born though.  That kid farts so much.  I haven't targeted what I eat that causes this insane gas but it doesn't seem to bother him that he farts so much, and I'll continue to eat whatever.  Kade has been a champ this whole time.  His only crime is that he wants to love on Trev constantly....every waking second Kade is awake he's all up in Trev's grill.  Kade is in the testing phase and his pushing his boundaries which is totally uncool and frustrating.  But life of two is pretty awesome and everyday gets better and more in a routine.  My good friend Kortney took Trev's newborn pics.  It was quite the process.  I was peed on twice and he pooped in her white blanket, but she got some amazing pics.

Trev Keith Christofferson

So this baby was breech since our ultrasound at 20 weeks.  I tried all the tricks....laying upside down, putting an ice pack on my stomach, putting something really warm down there.  Nothing seemed to get this baby to turn around.  So at 38 weeks we (as in me and midwife) discussed doing an inversion and if that didn't work than doing a C-section.  I REALLY REALLY didn't want a C-section.  Well I decided on Nov 6th to so the inversion, which was 12 days early from my due date of Nov 18.  So we went in at 6:15am (freakin early)  they hooked me all up with IV's and gave me my epidural.  I was either having this baby vaginally or if the inversion didn't work I was going in for a c-section right than and there.  Well the sweetest doctor came in and worked his magic and flipped the baby.  It took about 3 min for him to flip the baby.  It was awesome.  I didn't feel a thing.  About a hour later they started me on potossin and about 2 hours after that they broke my water.  About 4 hours after that is when I finally was a 10.  I got nausea a couple times cause I hadn't had anything to eat or drink since 8pm the previous day (due to the c-section possibility)  so I threw up twice while pushing.  It took 30 min of pushing and he was out at 4pm.  He weighed 7.9lbs which I was totally shocked by since he was 12 days early and he weighed more than Kade did.  Also was 20 inches long.

Poor Kade broke out in hives from the Downy Fabric Softner that I bought.  Luckily it didn't bother him and was more painful to just look at.  It went away after 3 days and being on benadryl.

Fish Lake

Its become a tradition for the Christofferson side to go down on the week of the 24th of July and do some camping at Fish Lake.  It was so much fun.  It did down pour on us for 1 whole day, but we just watched the line dancing festival at the lodge to pass the time.  I loved it!!  It was a special year with the Olympics and so we decided to have our own Olympics.  A huge thanks to Lou and Scott for putting it on!!
