2013, what a year

We had a great year in 2013.  It was full of good changes but also some sad changes as well.  I thought I would do a recap of the last year so whenever I get around to making our year book, I will remember:)

January:
It was COLD, COLD, COLD.  I remember just freezing basically the entire winter.  Getting out to go on a walk when it was 20 degrees was a treat (because that was considered warm).
Image

My tummy kept growing and growing.  It was fun to really feel that little guy moving inside of me.

Image

We went to Jackson Hole with my family and we bought our first little outfit for our baby Crew.
Image

Skied up at Targhee, well some of us did (Dani and I sat in the lodge).
Image

Image

Alec, Mike, and my Dad did a crazy AT trip up the Tetons.  When they got to the top they felt like they were on top of the world.  It was a pretty cold feeling apparently:).  I think the temp was definitely in the negatives.
Image

Image

We  bought our first snow blower because our backs could not handle the winters we get were we live (well I guess they could have, we just didn't want them to have to)

February:
AT skiing up in American Fork Canyon

I turned the big 29.  Last year in my twenties.
Image

Went and watched them ski jump up in Park City on my bday with my parents.  I slide up and down the mtn.  Sure I looked pretty awesome all big and preggers and stuff sliding around, oh joy:).
Image

We were able to do more ultrasounds to see this sweet boy:)
Image

And more growing......
Image

Image

March:
Alec was able to get in some skiing
Image

Image

We had the opportunity to go to Cabo with Alec's work's presidents club.  It was a trip that almost didn't happen due to Crew loving my kidney, but we are so grateful we went and I felt great the entire time!

We met the sweetest little man!  James David Everton born March 2nd.  We met him only a few weeks after he was born, but it felt like forever before we were able to meet this sweetie!
Image

Image

Meeting Baby J meant we were able to hang with Mike and Dani too!:)
Image

And my growing continued it felt at an incredible fast pace!

 April:
We had a few baby showers one after another.  So sweet of my family and friends to come and support myself and this baby Crew of ours:)
Image

4-wheeling with the West clan, I didn't go on this adventure because I wasn't quite ready to have the baby:)
Image

Alec got a few more days of skiing in.
Image

Image

The growing continued.....
ImageImage

Preparation for the baby was in full swing, one month away, or so we thought..........
Image

May:

This was my last pregger pic.  I thought I was for sure going to do at least 2 more, but my 37 week pic was the last.
Image

We got snow on May 1st.  My tulips were pretty sad about the matter.
Image

We went to the tulip festival.  I was hoping all the walking would help get the party started.
Image

We went on another walk that night and then.......
Image

The next morning my water broke.... 2 weeks early this baby came on the day we had all hoped he would.  May 8th, a day he gets to share with my Grandma on her 90th bday.

June:
The next few months i'll admit are a bit of a blur.  They consisted of a lot of sleeping and cuddling

Image

Crew B's first ER visit.  Apparently spitting up blood is no big deal, but I kinda freaked out!!!!
Image

Image

A few outings up to Park City
Image

Meeting James for the first time.  They are going to be buddies, but they really could have not cared any less about each other at there first meeting:)

July:
We went and stayed up in Park City at the Grand Summit with Alec's family for the 4th of July.  We had so much fun just hanging at the hotel swimming, riding up the gondola, and just hanging out on Main st.

We blessed Crew on Sunday July 7th at our house.  I feel like such a bad mom.  We didn't get any! pictures.  This is the only one that we took that day.  It was a crazy rushed day, but a beautiful blessing!
Image

We went to Jackson again with my family.  We love it so much up here.  It was so nice to spend a week up there.  We canoed, swam in the Firehole river, mountain biked and hiked.  Great week!

Said goodbye to these two as they headed to North Carolina to attend Duke for law school.  Sad day for us, but excited for there experiences and opportunities.
Image

I started back at work 2 days per week which meant pumping in the closest.... oh so fun:(
Image

Enjoyed rain storms, it made us feel like it was fall:)
Image

More family outings.  Crew has been such an easy baby it made it easy to travel and go places with him.
Image

Hikes up near Brighton with the family
Image

We lost our sweet Shelby on August 30th.  We miss her so much and wish so badly Crew could love on her Auntie Shelby.
Image

September:
It didn't start out how we wanted, but the first of September was a time to for us to remember one of the sweetest ladies I will ever meet.  There were a lot of tears and laughter (and lots of Diet Coke).  It was a nice week with family and one we didn't want to end because Shelby was all we talked about and what we all thought about it.

With a loss, you take some time to really consider what you are thankful for.  You realize how short life is and that living it to its fullest and loving on those you love it what its all about.
Image

Image

BYU football games started, rough season, but still fun!
Image

Fall drives up AF canyon.  LOVE the fall so much.  I also love that we live so close to such a beautiful canyon!
Image

BYU soccer games with the West clan.  A cold, rainy game!

October:
Alec had surgery on his arm at the beginning of Oct.  It ended up being quite the ordeal.  They shaved off over 1/2 an inch of bone of his elbow and took out 5 nerve tumors.  He was in a lot of pain for a lot longer than he expected as well.  We are happy he is getting his strength back in his right arm and it is not as sore as it was.
ImageImage

Cheered Booney in her 2nd half marathon.
Image

Did the Halloween lift ride up at Sundance.  So much fun.  Definitely going to be a yearly tradition.
Image

Holidays are way better since Crew B came around.  This year he obviously didn't care much about Halloween, but he was sure a cute Monkey!
Image

ImageImage

Cruzer had his 6 month photo shoot too:)
Image

Image

 November:
We started out November heading down to Moab to cheer my Dad on in his first marathon.  It was a crazy trail marathon too.  He did AMAZING!

A few days after getting home from Moab, Crew and I flew to North Carolina to see both Krissy and Ash and there fams.  It was so fun.  Crew was a rock star on the flights.  We had so much fun hanging out, going to the farmers markets, taking a tour of duke and just enjoying the smells of North Carolina!

In between trips, there was time to get Cruzer's 6 month shots, and hang with his cousin Zoe.

Last minute we jumped on a plane and headed to New York City

Long Island

Cape Cod

Chicago

Then last to South Bend

 December:
Just loved on our baby Crew.  He is growing up so stinking fast.  He is moving around all over the place, smiling and laughing all the time, definitely getting his opinions.  Just enjoying every moment and every stage.

Taking Cruzer AT skiing!
Image

Image

Up to Snowbird to ski.  So fun to be back on skies hanging out with Alec.

Cruzer first Christmas was so fun.  He really liked the Christmas lights and wrapping paper, but also really did love his toys.  He saw this rocker and yelled at it because he wanted to sit on it.  Loved every minute!
