Marina Bay Office Building

Inside one of the tall office building in Marina Bay Financial Centre, the lobby looked so grand just like a hotel. Love this tall christmas tree in the lobby.

On the second floor was the food court where they sold mainly local food. Oh I love this biscuit corner, reminded me of my childhood times where we bought bicuits in the tins from the grocery shop.

Outside the building is this famous buffalo sculpture which I posted before. You can view my earlier post.

Skywatch Friday - Marina Bay

Took photos of these tall office tower buildings at the Marina Bay Financial Centre. My sister worked in one of the tall building so I got a chance to visit inside one of the building but only on the lobby area, could not go up to her office due to security reasons.

Image

Love this stretch of the link between Marina Bay Financial Centre and Marina Bay Sands. A great place to take photo of the whole rows of financial buildings and the Singapore river.

Image

Spotted among the tall building was Clifford Pier. Clifford Pier was built between 1927 and 1933, and was named after Sir Hugh Clifford, Governor of the Straits Settlements between 1927 and 1929.

Christmas Gathering 2012

We had a family gathering at my brother's home on Christmas Day. We celebrated with some local chinese food and pizza and we also exchange presents. Was really a fun and happy day for all of us.

Pizza and side orders from Pizza Hut.

Braised tofu with prawns.

Hahahaha we dont have a christmas tree so we just lay our presents on the table. We used to have christmas trees in our homes when our children were younger, was fun putting and decorating the trees but taking out all the decorations and keeping the christmas trees became a chore, hahaha. But think we might get a christmas tree again.

Image

For after meal dessert, we had mao shan wang durian log cake. Wow the best log cake we ever had. Mao Shan Wang is like branded durian, dont come cheap and was really very delicious.

Skywatch Friday - Vivo City - Cruise Ship

I love going to the roof top of Vivo City to watch the huge cruise ship. Wish one day I could travel in one.

Image

Nice that the weather was cloudy and windy that day.

Image

Image

I zoomed and took this photo of the balcony of the room and only when I was loading them into my computer, did I realise that there was a woman in one of the balcony. Doubt she was peeking into the next room, guess she was being curious if the other room looked identical to the room she was in. Was kind of funny hahahaha.

Saw this robot display at Nokia Shop in Vivo City.

Image

Very creative to use the old handphones to create the robot as a display in the shop.

There was a mini exhibition at Hong Lim Park of lanterns made from recycled Materials.

This lantern that looked like a ferris wheel won the first prize.

Kids having fun carrying lanterns.

Image

Very creative to use paper plates, plastic spoons, fork, etc to make the lanterns that looked like a phoenix.

Image

Hahaha a durian lantern, the durian looked real.

Image

Lion made from hundreds of straws.

Entrance of the park was decorated with beautiful lanterns based on the Journey of the West Story.
