In For A Rude Awakening

Llama has been my little companion now for the last 3 weeks with dad in Cove Fort, and she has made herself quite at home on his side of the bed. Little does she know she is in for a rude awakening now that he is home. No more sleeping with her head on his pillow every night. By the same token, it didn't take long (actually minutes) for me to take second place to her "Sugar Daddy". I wonder if she's the only one in for a "Rude Awakening"???

Source of Contention!

Well, this is the antique chest I happened to find last week. The price was low and I had been looking for something to match the antique dresser I already had. so with the man of the house away, I took my painting money and bought, knowing full well he would have something negative to say about it. True to form...dad was upset when his old, black, cheap armoire was no longer in the room. He doesn't like to "open drawers" you know. "That was his favorite piece of furniture in the house" and now it's gone, and "this chest is going to get on his nerves"....oh my! So I will hope I can find a house with a big walk in closet for his "special armoire". Until then, IT STAYS!!

The "VALUE" of Quilting

Girls, I wanted to show you the quilt I finished today. This is the project I was telling you all about, our YW making their own quilts. Didn't it turn out cute, and (bright)?? All the girls quilts are turning out so different even though we all used the same basic value blocks. Fun. Now I'm in the quilting mood, so come on over.
