The most musically inclined in my extended family was at it again. My great Aunt Myrle hosted a music night last weekend. I learned that apparently I can't read music. And not totally unrelated.....I realized how much I love our familiar "Hymns old and new"! This photo is a sneak peek of a composition practice for an upcoming wedding. The musicians are Heidi and Lane. You saw it here first.

And maybe this would be the appropriate time to mention I'm now spending at least a portion of my free time practicing for this same wedding. Yes, yours truly is becoming part of a band for the occasion. My role is back-up electric guitar. Since I only have a month to grow my hair out, I don't think I'll make it on image alone. I must practice! And.....well, if I don't learn it; I can always play with my amp off and the marriage will go harmoniously on :)

Dave Dye and I headed to Canada for a quick 24hr trip to Whistler this past weekend. We stayed with Garth and Delicia Jackson and had a good day on Blackcomb mountain followed by a hot soak and epic meal!
