And then the Madness! Dave and I had a good time rooting on our alma mater. In the end we didn't make the sweet 16. But we had a great long weekend anyway. And enough basketball to last awhile.
ImageImageWe're going to miss this big fella....We saw Jon Brockman's last game as a Husky. An impressive 1283 rebounds and 1805 points over his 4 year career.
ImageWith all due respect....the two below advanced to the sweet 16. Gonzaga beating the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and Purdue beating the Washington Huskies.

ImageOr maybe not if you consider the proximity of ball and gutter.
Had a good evening with some of the Portland folks in between basketball games.
ImageIn case you are a Gonzaga fan and need to relive the frantic finish, here was our view of it from up high.

I was in my first sailboat race this past weekend. A client I've worked with over the years races often and asked if I wanted to fill in for one of his regular crew. It was more intense than I expected. Learned some things and it made me want to get sailing again!

Joel is the skipper in the blue hat, he's the client who invited me along.

The start line was chaotic! We were just off the Port of Olympia waterfront.
Image
A nice breeze made the first half of the race a lot of fun.
Image
The wind all but died at the end, making a pretty non-eventful finish.

Topping the day off with my first trip to Cabela's was a nice way to finish the trip south.
