My Business Model: Why I Can Afford to Be Honest

Transparency isn’t just a legal requirement for me; it’s the foundation of this business.

I am an Engineer and a Strategist. My goal is to teach business owners how to build automated revenue systems. To do that, I produce hundreds of hours of deep-dive content, audits, and tutorials for free.

So, how does this project survive?

Simple. I run this website as a business, not a hobby.

My revenue comes from proving value first. If I recommend a tool and it helps you scale your business, I may earn a commission. If I recommend a tool and it breaks your site, I lose your trust—and my business dies.

This creates a perfect alignment of incentives: I only make money when I am right.

Below is the complete breakdown of my revenue streams and my ethical protocols for reviewing software.

My Promise: The “Poison Filter”

The digital marketing industry is flooded with “reviews” that are just paid advertisements in disguise. I built this platform to be the antidote to that noise.

Here is the strict protocol I follow for every tool, course, or piece of software mentioned on this site:

1. Reviews Are Never For Sale I do not accept payment to write a positive review. Ever. If a software company wants me to review their product, they can pitch it—but they cannot control the output. If the tool is buggy, overpriced, or useless, I will publish those findings openly.

2. Skin in the Game I am an active practitioner. I test tools on my own live projects, my own servers, and my own budget. My reviews are based on engineering audits, not marketing brochures.

3. The “You Choose” Link Policy Yes, I use affiliate links. If you click a link and buy a tool I recommend, I may earn a commission (at no extra cost to you). This supports the thousands of dollars I spend on testing software.

However, your trust is more valuable than a commission. That is why I often provide both a referral link and a non-referral link. You have the choice. If you want to support the channel, use the referral link. If you don’t, use the plain link. The content remains the same either way.

How I Access the Tools I Review

Not all reviews are created equal. My depth of testing depends on how I access the software. To keep you fully informed, you will see one of the following “Disclosure Tags” on every piece of content I produce:

1. “Asset-Owned” (I Bought It)

  • What it means: I paid for this tool with my own money for my own business or agency use.
  • The Depth: These are my deepest reviews. I am a customer, just like you. I have skin in the game, and if the product fails, I lose money too.

2. “Review Access” (Founder/Trial Grant)

  • What it means: I requested (or was offered) a temporary account from the SaaS founder specifically to audit the tool.
  • The Context: While I didn’t pay for this specific access, the founder has zero editorial control. They see the review at the same time you do.

3. “Community Verified” (Borrowed Access)

  • What it means: I don’t own the tool, but a trusted member of our 7,000+ entrepreneur community gave me temporary access to their account so I could test it for the group.

4. “Deal Notification” (News Only)

  • What it means: Sometimes, a deal launches that is relevant to our industry, but I haven’t had time to audit it yet.
  • The Warning: I am sharing this as “News,” not a “Recommendation.” I will explicitly state that I haven’t tested it myself yet. Proceed with your own due diligence.

Sponsored Content & Professional Services

A Note on Sponsored Content Occasionally, I accept sponsorships from companies that align with our mission. This helps cover the significant server costs and research time required to run this platform.

  • The Rule: Money buys visibility, not opinions.
  • The Label: Any paid placement will be clearly marked as “Sponsored” or “Ad.” You will never have to guess if an article was paid for.
  • The Standard: I turn down 90% of sponsorship offers because the products do not meet my engineering standards. If you see it here, it’s because I believe it has merit.

Consulting & Strategy While I provide 95% of my knowledge for free on the blog and YouTube channel, some business owners require a hands-on architect.

I offer limited consulting slots for:

  • SaaS Product Improvement: Helping founders refine their tools to actually solve user problems.
  • SEO Systems Architecture: Helping business owners bring their SEO in-house and automate their workflows.

The Final Word

In an industry full of smoke and mirrors, my goal is to give you the blueprints. I hope this transparency report proves that I respect your intelligence and your business enough to be 100% honest with you.
