Missing Lamb
Grey lamb, white lamb!
Where is the black one?
She went out with
Three bags of wool
As a winter gift to the needy
Nothing for her master,
who was very greedy
She gave one to the poor dame,
Who keeps shivering from the cold
And one for her little boy, who is lame
So the master got angry
He locked her in the pen
We are also missing her
But we can’t leave this den
(With apologies to the original rhyme writer of ‘ Baa Baa black sheep…’)
(Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes, sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for the master,
One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane?
