Hello Cold Weather!

Have you ever seen “A Christmas Story”? Do you remember Ralphie’s little brother, Randy, and his snowsuit? If you don’t- Randy’s mom put him in a snowsuit that didn’t fit him and he couldn’t even move his arms. Below is a picture from the movie of Randy in his snow suit and Kennedy doing her best impression of him. (Kennedy’s arms don’t even reach half through the sleeves of her snowsuit- Ha!)

Remember to purchase that special someone a Red Rider BB Gun this Christmas!

Changes!

Things have been changing for the Walkers! In November, we moved out of Hotel Dana and into our own place. It was so fun to see all of our things that had been waiting in storage for 6 months. Our first night in the house, Kennedy slept through the night for a full 7 hours. That was a wonderful change! She is now sleeping consistently 6-8 hrs every night. Our last change is that Randy accepted a new job, which he will start in January. We are so excited and very grateful for all of these new developments.

Kennedy is getting bigger and bigger. She is almost 12 lbs and can coo, smile in response to others, and recognize her parents. Enjoy the pics!

My Gold Medal Blog

Sorry it’s been so long since I have written- I have been focusing on letting people know that I am going to an excellent swimmer when I grow up. (I heard that prominent international organizations give out prestigious awards based on what they hope you’ll accomplish.) My goal is to persuade the International Olympic Committee into believing I’ll be an outstanding swimmer so they will give me a gold medal and I won’t have to go through all the trouble of training for the Olympics. What do you think of that strategy Michael Phelps?!?!?!

We rented our house in Oklahoma. The current renter is going to purchase the house next year. Mommy & Daddy are excited about this because if they sold it this fall they would have lost money, but selling it at the same price next year will allow for them to break even or come out a little ahead. Our family has really been blessed during these challenging, but rewarding times.

Here’s what you really want… Pics of me!

Winnie the Pooh to the rescue!!!

Like other babies my age, sometimes I like to cry for what appears as no reason. (Truth is I know the reason why I am so upset, but I am keeping that to myself- That’s something I learned in the baby nursery at the hospital.)

Mommy & Daddy have given me certain pacifiers to calm me down, but I didn’t like any of them and would spit them out. In an ironic twist, the other night they tried some Winnie the Pooh pacifiers that Daddy put on the baby shower registry when Mommy wasn’t looking. (You’ve got to watch my Daddy, he’s always causing some type of mischief when people aren’t watching him.) I don’t know what it is about these pacifiers, but I like them more than Pooh Bear likes honey. Now when I have one of them in my mouth Mommy and Daddy can see why they are called pacifiers because they pacify me when I am fussy.

On a side note, at my last doctor’s appointment I weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 21 inches. I am in the 87 percentile for my height- If I keep this up I am going to be taller than my Mommy by the time I am 14 years old!

Here are some more pictures of me!!!

My First Day Home-

I left the hospital with Mommy & Daddy last night. Nonnie (Amy’s mom) was waiting with a smile on her face when we got home. Shortly after Grandma and Grandpa Walker came over to see us.

I met our dog, Marley, who seems pretty intrigued by me. He wasn’t too overbearing, but he snuck in and licked my head one time. Daddy keeps talking about making sure Marley knows what his boundaries are- Using words like “boundaries” I think Daddy has seen too many “Dog Whisper” episodes.

Nonnie made a fantastic “Welcome Home Kennedy!” meal- Or so I am told. I just eat what Mommy feeds me. Grandpa finished early so he held me and we watched the end of Return of the Jedi together. (Technically, I slept, but who is keeping score.)

Last night when it was time to sleep I was having too much fun so I decided Mommy, Daddy & I should have a slumber party. I enjoyed staying up through the night eating, burping, using my digestive system and listening to Mommy & Daddy coo over me. (Daddy even let me help check his fantasy football team with him- I think we are going to win this week.)

After a while everyone got some much needed sleep!

I am so excited to be home!!!!
