Boston's First Christmas

ImageCan't really tell, but his shirt says "My First Christmas" on it. Having a kid at Christmas time made me feel like a kid again too! I woke up at 5:00 with Boston, but I couldn't fall back asleep after Boston did, so I stayed up and watched Christmas movies until everyone else woke up.

ImageI gave my mom a photo album full of my favorite pictures of Boston. She loved it! I don't even have one of those for me yet! All my pictures are on this blog, but I will have it printed soon!

ImageScott got a new camera lens and a remote for his camera so we don't have to set the timer anymore! Sweet!

ImageBoston with his new Boston Red Sox bat and ball!

ImageA new laptop! Hopefully he won't pound on ours anymore now. Hopefully.

ImageHe loves to close the lid.

ImageHe's just so cute.

ImageBoston with Aunt Kristen.

ImageKristen put her hair extensions in my hair, except you can't really tell because they are about the same length as my real hair. It made my hair more full though, and now I kind of want extensions! But not really because I would never actually want to put that much effort in to doing my hair except for once or twice a year maybe.

ImageBoston got a new Cars chair from Grandma and Grandpa Fitz! It folds in to a bed too! He loves it!

ImageWe got a beautiful picture of the Bountiful temple from Scott's parents. We love it!

ImageHe was clapping because he was sitting in his new chair looking like a stud!

ImageThis is Boston all ready for church in his new outfit! What a handsome little guy!

Best Christmas yet!!!

Christmas Eve

We had our own little Christmas on Christmas Eve morning before we went up to Kaysville/Layton to spend Christmas with our families. We loved it!! Scott had fun playing Santa Claus for the first time. He woke up at 3:00 am to set up our Christmas tree and put the presents around it. We had decided not to put up a tree this year for lack of room, and because I already have enough things to try to keep Boston away from. I was sweetly surprised Christmas Eve morning when I walked out to the living room to see our little tree set up with presents around it!

I went a little overboard on taking pictures. I need to stop taking so many pictures because it just makes it harder to choose which ones I want to post! Get ready for pictures galore!

ImageBoston's first Christmas (Eve)!

Image
ImageWow, my parents are actually letting me touch the presents! Finally!

ImageHe was actually really good at unwrapping his presents!

ImageHe was so excited to see his new toy!

ImageHe gave it a kiss! So cute!

ImageIt's a leap frog dog named Scout. You can push each of his paws and they all do different things like sing songs, talk, teach him animal sounds, and you can personalize it to say his name when he talks.

ImageI was so excited to give him this cute toy! We spent an hour and a half in the toy isle trying to decide what to get him.

ImagePlaying with his new toy. I think we picked a good one. He loves it!

ImageAwe. Boston giving me a kiss to thank me for his new toy.

ImageWatching Boston open his presents and get excited was a million times better than opening our own presents. Look at his face! Christmas just got even better! I had no idea how much more fun it was going to be with Boston.

ImageEnjoying Christmas Eve morning with our own little family. It really felt like Christmas that morning. It was so fun! We made pumpkin spice hot chocolate and french toast for breakfast. Yum!

ImageScott opening the jeans I got him.

ImageHe loved them. Picked them out by myself. ( Like the bedhead? Ha ha.)

ImageOw! Ow! They fit good too!

ImageScott gave me a scripture quad engraved with my married name. He thought of that all by himself. You can also see a couple of the new ornaments we gave each other on the tree behind me. We have a tradition of giving each other an ornament every Christmas that represents something that happened that year, or that reminds us of the other person. We are also going to give our kids an ornament every year. We got Boston a first Christmas ornament. Scott gave me a Belle ornament from Beauty and the Beast because he calls me Belle, and that's our movie. (We were watching that movie the first time he told me he loved me.) I gave Scott a snowman ornament with a picture of us in it from the Christmas Ball we went to, and an ornament that represented having a baby this year.

ImageThis is my parent's living room pretty full of presents! We spent Christmas Eve at their house. We had a nice dinner, opened some presents from extended family, saw the Layton park lights, read the Christmas story, and watched The Santa Claus.

ImageAwe me and my sisters.

ImageJessica's baby Alex.

ImageThis picture needs some explaining. In France they have a tradition on Christmas to eat this cake thing and whoever gets the piece with the baby Jesus in it gets to wear a crown. My aunt Karla, and dad both went to France on their missions, so we decided to do this French tradition this year. It was really fun, and the cake was scrumptious! Justin got the piece with the baby in it and was therefore crowned! Look at the size of the piece of cake he got!! No wonder he had the piece with the baby in it! The odds were in his favor.

ImageScott was ready to pop after all the good food we ate.

ImageTrying unsuccessfully to get a picture of all three grandsons in their new pajamas.

ImageNot lined up and smiling like we were picturing in our heads, but at least they are in the same room. Notice how Alex (the blond baby on his hands and knees) is crying? I just had a laugh attack looking at this picture because it reminded me of what Alex did right after I took this picture. In the middle of his temper tantrum he threw himself in to a somersault. It was seriously hilarious, but you had to be there.

ImageMy favorite present I got this year.

ImageBoston and Alex. They are two months apart, so they should be good buddies.

ImageKind of looking at the camera, and kind of sitting by each other. It's pretty much impossible to get a posed picture of all three grandsons together.

If that wasn't fun enough, we still had Christmas to celebrate the next day!! Christmas pictures coming soon! This post was enough blogging/picture uploading for a few days!

11 Months

Only one more month until my baby turns ONE!! I'm already trying to think of what to do for his birthday party. Let me know if you have any ideas. I think I'm going to do a John Deere tractor theme. His jogging stroller is John Deere, and since we spend a few hours with the stroller together every day it reminds me of him.

I think it's so fun to look at all his lion pictures and see how much he changes in just one month.

Image9 days. So tiny! I didn't even realize how tiny he was until now.

Image3 months. Little baldy.

Image6 months. All smiles almost ALL the time.

Image8 months. Such a sweetheart.

Image11 months. FULL of personality. Is he starting to look more like Scott or me?

ImageHe just keeps getting more and more fun to be around as he learns more and develops more of a personality. I didn't even know it was possible for someone to be as happy as he is ALL the time. It's amazing, and the best part about it is that it's contagious. It's impossible not to smile when you're around someone who is bursting with energy and always has a huge smile on his face.

ImageHe looks like a toddler in this picture! (That's so weird to me.) He loves to jump on the couch. That's what he's doing in this picture.

ImageHe's starting to clap and it's so cute! The best is when he claps after he kisses someone like he's so proud of himself. I love it.

ImageI was trying to reorganize our pan cupboard, so I took everything out and Boston thought it was his little play hut.

ImageHe keeps me entertained all day long. Never a dull moment when he's awake!

Some fun facts about Boston at 11 months:

-He has two teeth now! (bottom middle)

-His new and most adorable thing is dancing to any and all music. He started it when he opened a new toy on Christmas that sang a little song. He would sway back and forth every single time that song came on without fail. It made everyone laugh. One time he was even crawling away and Scott turned the song on and Boston stopped in his tracks on his hands and knees and started swaying back and forth.

-He loves to give people and toys kisses. They are wide open mouth kisses, but that just makes them even cuter.

-His favorite thing to do is rough house. He absolutely loves to be thrown around on the bed or love sac. He loves it when we play the "I'm gonna get you game, and tickle him."

Coming soon are the pictures of our awesome Christmas weekend. It was mine and Scott's favorite Christmas so far!
