Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year! Scott and I went to two friend parties before Halloween dressed as characters from the 30's. Scott said we were people that F. Scott Fitzgerald would write about in his books.

I didn't feel like getting dressed up fancy for our ward trunk-or-treat the night before Halloween, so Scott and I did improv Sandlot costumes.

Scott made a pretty good Benny.

Brody got ahold of a green cupcake, and thought he needed some green all over his face to match his costume.

He looked too cute enjoying it, so the mess was worth cleaning up.

Halloween night we had fun going around our neighborhood, and the weather was great. We got a little bit of rain towards the end of trick-or-treating, but we were pretty much done by then.

Our neighborhood community always puts on a really good Halloween party every year at our park, so we trick-or-treated our way over there.

They had bounce houses, a movie, games, free popcorn and snow cones, and a trunk-or-treat in the parking lot. It was really fun. We stayed until it started to rain.

Then we went home and looked at the massive amount of candy that the boys had collected.

Brody was really cute trick-or-treating this year. He understood it and would even say, "Tank you!" after receiving candy. He was a little scared though and preferred to stay in his stroller the whole time and have me push him up to the doors.

Boston wanted to sell his candy to the dentist for $1 a pound, so he chose some of his favorite candy to eat, picked 25 pieces for a Christmas countdown, and sold the rest. Scott ended up buying it from him because it was easier than us driving all the way to the dentist that does the buy back. Boston sold 6 pounds and earned himself $6 that he was really happy about. We divided some of the candy up for stocking stuffers and put it in the freezer. We also saved some to decorate a gingerbread house. Despite all of that, they still got more than enough sugar to last them for a few months.

Here's a bunch of pictures from a variety of times that we've gone to Six Flags this year.

Before we bought passes, our friends Patricia and Chris invited us to go with them one day on bring a friend day.

Boston also got to go to Six Flags with Trenton all day for Trenton's birthday. They loved getting their faces painted!

USAA had their annual Six Flags day for IT employees where the whole park was reserved for them. This is the day that we decided to buy season passes because we were able to get them for our whole family for $100 for our whole family. It was an amazing deal!

Scott and I used our passes again for a Halloween date night. We wanted to get a big group together, but that didn't work out. We were glad that Patricia and Chris were able to come though!

It's so nice to live so close to Six Flags and Sea World. It keeps us entertained!
