family picture

Image

This summer my whole family went up to Tony's Grove up Logan canyon and had family pictures taken. They turned out awesome because my talented brother in law took them. He's the most talented photographer I know, and I am proud to tell you about his blog/website. If you are interested in checking it out it is http://www.iamcasey.com
His blog is www.caseymcfarlandphoto.blogspot.com and is pretty entertaining to read. He travels a TON and has pics from all over. They are beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your talent Casey!/

Hello again!

Well, we think it's been long enough! We have taken a major break from blogging, facebook, and all other things that take up soooo much time :) But we are back and hope that our friend and family haven't totally given up on us! We don't even know what to write about anymore. There's no way to catch up on the last 9 months, so let's just start fresh! Angie just spent the night last night up until 3:30 am at the opening night of New Moon (which was much better than Twilight) but still would have been better at 7:30pm :)
Thanks to Andy for staying home and letting me sleep in a little this morning!!! He is planning on a turkey bowl tomorrow (in the snow). Pretty crazy, but it's tradition to have at least one every fall, right? Good luck!
Let us know how you are doing!!!

Sunny California!

Image We were so excited to go to sunny California this Feb. and get away from all the cold stormy weather, and it turns out we left on just the right week. California was still a little chilli, but Utah was snowy and stormy almost the whole week we were gone. We got a major case of spring fever (along with everyone else here in Utah). We were lucky enough to go to a few beaches and parks and enjoy the feeling of grass between our toes. Yes, we had pretty cold toes, but none the less it was soft green grass on our toes!Image
Here we are playing games at the park! Can you believe that??!!??!! Macie really loved being outside and to make it even better, the park is right next to the ocean. Just to the left was a beach!
Below is a picture of Macie getting all ready for Disneyland. She had a princess shirt, hat and some rockin' sunglasses.
Image
ImageImage This was me and Macie's first trip to Disneyland. We were pumped. There is so much to do there that it was almost overwhelming! We were there for one full day and probably only did 1/10th of the things there are to do. It was awesome though! Magical!

ImageI eneded up meeting more princesses than Macie did. She acted like she was so excited to meet them before we got to Disneyland, but when it came down to it, she was terrified and pretty grumpy. She was a little sick that day, and it was the first time since she was 3 days old that she actually fell asleep in my arms! She slept in my arms while we waited in line to see the princesses (for 1 hour) and she's no infant anymore...my arms were sore the next day from carrying her for so long. Here she is just waking up as we saw sleeping beauty (isn't that ironic :).

It's good to see old friends again!

Image We were able to get together over the holidays with a bunch of friends of Andy's from high school. We have been friends from the beginning (when Andy and I were still dating). Our families have all grown and the group is becoming larger every year. It's always fun to see old friends again. We chowed on pizza, the kids played with new Christmas toys and had great time.

Christmas fun

Image What a fun Christmas! We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate with the cousies. The kids had a blast. They decorated their own gingerbread houses, they opened new pajamas on Christmas Eve, and they even went to bed early so Santa could come bring presents. Macie asked Santa for a baby doll bed and car seat but she was terrified that he might actually come to the house. So we told her that Santa was going to bring her presents to the Wal-Mart and we would go pick them up for her (how true that is)! That eased her mind a little bit.
One night before Christmas we were upstairs and we noticed that she was writing on her bedroom door with pen. So in our knee-jerk reaction said "no, no don't write on your door" and she said "But I need to write a note to Santa to tell him to not come in my bedroom". We thought that was hilarious! Kids!

Twilight by Moonlight!

Image My friends and I went to the 12:15 am showing of the movie Twilight this past Thursday. It was a blast. We went out to dinner, chatted it up and stayed out until 3am. I was crawling in bed thinking "this was great" then the next morning when Macie was getting me up I was saying "that was really stupid". But I have to admit, I really liked the movie. It made me want to read the book again, and I don't usually read a book twice. It's Sunday now and I STILL feel tired. I am sure over the next week I will start to catch up.
