our wintery wonderland on Christmas Day some images from 116th street, Columbia campus again. of course all the snow has been washed away, and we have had some temperatures of minus 18 degrees celsius...quite cold enough for NYC, I think! We headed down to the local Catholic church on Christmas Day to their midday mass because it was in English (so many have Spanish services), and because it was the only local service we could find for Christmas Day, as a lot of churchs have their services on Christmas Eve...a bit hard to take baby out past his bedtime!

Room in the Inn

No, it is not the northern star, it is the first delicate sighting of the "blue" moon this month...by my tiny 18 month old grandson who is absolutely obsessed by the moon! Fancy him pointing it out to us as we walked along in the snow to lunch today! Twas the night before Christmas.... Knock, Knock...any room in this Inn? May you have food to eat today...and company at your table .... May the Lord Bless you and Keep You May the Lord make his face to shine upon you...and be gracious unto you... The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you His Peace. Today and always! for other skywatch posts from around the world today, please click the Sky watch button in the sidebar...
