We had a really magical Christmas season this year. It felt like it got a late start, because we were frantically tying up loose ends at the house and then moving in the week before Christmas. But we got moved it! And we even got our tree up! The kids were so excited about Santa and they were sure they were going to be able to catch him this year. It was hectic and fun and stressful and beautiful.

The baby turns 2!
My sweet little Baby Buster Boy is now an official toddler. There is no better toddler around.
Eric is so sweet and affectionate. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He is starting to grow out of his biting faze, thank goodness. He is not growing out of his hair pulling faze. He still has to have a firm hold of my hair whenever it is possible.
Just this week he has decided to start talking, out of the blue! We did a couple of sessions of speech therapy because he wasn't saying a word at 18 months, but I guess he's just been saving them up.

Halloween 2016
We started out our Halloween season early this year. I told the kids they had to wait until October to start decorating, but those little stinkers were way to excited and about a week before, I woke up from a Sunday nap to find some spider and bat artwork hung on the walls of our apartment. The best decorations are the dancing skeletons, and Bus especially cannot get enough.
We had a fun party with the Englishs, were we all dressed up, and then had our annual bread bowl party with the Arbons. We went trick or treating in our Pleasant View neighborhood, which was so fun. Everyone was out and about and some people had really elaborate setups. It was a perfect, almost warm night. I think watching my kids excitement as they run house to house is one of my favorite things in the world. I even makes me like Halloween.

Lagoon Staycation
This year we decided to make a weekend of our annual day at Frightmares at Lagoon. We went a day early and stayed in a hotel right across the street from the park. It was so exciting for everyone! We could see the rides from our window!
That night we went to Texas Roadhouse to eat and then went back to the hotel to swim for a minute. No one slept much that night but it was sure an adventure. We got up bright and early the next morning and had breakfast in the hotel and then tortured the kids by making them wait until the park opened to leave.
Mason and Brielle are little daredevils and want to go on every ride. Bri was particularly disappointed that she is too short to go on some of the crazier ones. Ava is a little more timid but she and Bus were troopers and loved every minute of it. They have a great selection of rides for kids of all ages, so we sometimes split up to go on bigger ones, or stuck together for a lot of the little ones. Mason was so excited to show Bus everything. They all said it was the best vacation ever! I love being able to do things like this. They are all just at the cutest ages and really was so fun.

Logan Pumpkin Walk
My mom and I took the kids to Logan for the pumpkin walk after watching the sheep getting herded down her street. Local businesses use pumpkins to set up different scenes and it is pretty fun. The kids wanted to put their heads through all of these (many) little head-in-the-hole characters. They also love searching for the hidden carrots or squashes in each scene. I tried getting some pictures with the kids next to them, but they kept dodging me.

Flag Football
Tim coached Mason in his first flag football season this year. It was so fun to go and watch the games, and Tim loved coaching. The kids are so cute. Mason could not control his excitement every game. He got a little crazy sometimes, but there is nothing quite like seeing him do a happy dance in the middle of the field. He was just hopping around with a smile on his face the whole time. As long as they were winning. The team did awesome. Tim's friend from work, Ryan Nichols helped him coach. At the end of the year they had a fun pizza party and got their trophies.
