One Year

Yes is has been eighteen months since I last wrote but I made a promise to uncle Phil to write this week, so Phil here it is. I hope to this blog up now my life is so exciting;) Now on to something much more interesting.
Today marks the one year anniversary of me and Mike getting married. We celebrated by going to Vernal UT. Why Vernal? I don't know we just picked a spot and went. Our main thing we did go fishing and some of the near by lakes in our little boat. We had good luck, never caught any trout like we tried but we did catch several perch and a couple of bass.
Mike also was so kind as to buy me a anniversary present, I think he had alterer motives--it is a Honda Trail 110. I do plan on learning how to ride it and use it around town. He got it from a customer who did not want to put money into the repairs so Mike bought it off of him. I will keep people posted on my success in learning how to ride. Thanks to those who still come around.

Back to the blogging word with a bang; I'm Engaged

Sorry I haven't had time to write lately I am working 20 hrs a week and working 18 hours. But I'm sure that you don't want to here about that. For the last seven months I have been seeing a boy by the name Mike Jensen from Tucson. This week he asked if I would marry him I said yes. Everyone keep June 28 or that is the plan after I return from Jordan. Sorry I don't have a pic today but I do not have my camera or computer with me. I came into PHX to tell my folks yesterday. Ill write more about him later I just wanted everyone to know.

Let it Snow!!!!

Sorry that I haven't written in a while (if anyone still even checks my blog) there is a lot with school and work going on but my dad covered the major things like Thanksgiving and Wilmar's b-day. But I thought that I would welcome the first day of real snow in Provo, also the first day of December.

Sorry that I have not been able to write recently I have had 5 papers and 4 midterms in the last two weeks, but today is about my dad. He is always there for me and has raised me right(well I hope so.) he works hard and plays hard. Happy birthday. I love you!

Khadeeja Mosque in Salt Lake

Today I was a bad girl and skipped church in order to go to the Mosque up in SLC for my Humanities of Islam class. Today was Sunday school for them where they teach the young children Arabic and lessons about the Koran. We had a good time meeting with the woman and learning what many of them felt about Islam and there culture growing up in America. It was a different experience- as we all had to wear a hajab and none of us knew how to wear one, but the ladies were very welcoming and answered all of our questions. I will need to go to the Mosque in the future to finish writing my paper but to day was a good start to get to know the people and learn more about their religion. This weekend at Zion

This past weekend me and my roommate decided to go down to Zion and see all the fall colors. So on Friday after class me, Suzanne, and her fiancee--Steve left for my family's cabin in Glendale, UT. There we met up with my dad, brother, my dad's friend and his kid as well as Steve's cousin Andy. On Saturday my dad and his gang went to UNLV v BYU game while the rest of us hiked Angels Landing in Zion.

Dinner Time at My Place

My place has been boring the last few weeks but I thought that I would drop in a little note. One of the few interesting activities that we do every week is feed the snake which has become quite the social event. So here is what we look forward to every week.
