Welcome to the Arm AI Developer Challenge 2025. We want developers like you to create innovative AI projects that run on your mobile device and submit them to this hackathon for a chance to win prizes.
This challenge is open to all developers who want to showcase their skills, developing projects optimized for mobile devices powered by Arm architecture. Whether it's a phone, tablet, or any other Arm-based device, we want to see your creativity and technical prowess in action.
Participants are encouraged to explore various AI applications, such as generative AI or machine learning models, and demonstrate how these can be effectively implemented on and run locally on Arm-based devices. We want developers to push the boundaries of what is possible with AI on mobile devices, ensuring that the projects are optimized for performance and efficiency on Arm architecture.
Submissions for the hackathon will be open from October 6th to December 3rd. During this period, developers can work on their projects, test them, and submit their final entries for evaluation. We are looking for projects that stand out in terms of innovation, technical execution, optimization, and/or creativity.
Join us in this exciting challenge and showcase your AI expertise. We can't wait to see what you create!
Requirements
To ensure that all submissions are evaluated fairly and thoroughly, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Timely Submission: All projects must be submitted within the designated submission period, from October 6th to December 3rd. Late submissions will not be considered.
- Source Code: Each submission must include a copy of the project's source code. You can either attach the source code files directly or provide a link to an open-source repository where the code is hosted (e.g., GitHub).
- Project Write-Up: Along with the source code, a detailed write-up must be included. This write-up should cover the following aspects:
- Project Overview: A brief description of the project and its purpose. As well what makes the project interesting and why it should win the hackathon.
- Functionality: An explanation of how the project works and its key features.
- Setup Instructions: Step-by-step instructions on how to build and run the project on an Arm-based device.
- Optional Media: Participants are encouraged to also include an audio or video recording that explains or pitches the project. An engaging presentation can provide additional insights of the work.
All projects that follow these guidelines will be thoroughly reviewed and considered for the hackathon prize. We look forward to seeing your innovative Arm-based AI projects!
