Soulistry Update

Faces

Here is a small showcase of the faces I completed in Mays 29 faces Challenge.  I didnt manage all 29 for the month as I was busy with my LAA stuff.  But I did complete 15 and here is half a dozen of the ones I thought turned out best.

 

The Mary Lamb Award

I participated in this years Livingston Art Association Exhibition, held at Howden Park Centre in Livingston on the 25th of May 2012.  I was so elated when I discovered I had won the Mary Lamb Award for versatility, enthusiasm and endevour..  I was ecstatic when later  that week I found out that 3 of my paintings sold.  This was my first time exhibiting so you can imagine my excitement!

Book of Days

Been working in my moleskine and playing around with my new prisma colour pencils and trying out a lettering idea.  This page is more akin to the journal pages I should be doing for Book of Days but never seem to get around to.  So busy with the coming up exhibition in May stuff.  My sketchbook is being exhibited too so Im trying to fill it up with stuff LOL

Soulistry wk3

The prompt for this weeks soulistry was all about what we felt about the concept of God.  Im so enjoying this soul-searching and finding out so much about myself and the others taking part in premium book of days.  I finally arted my answers to the questions with a universe signifying what I felt I was a part of in essence.

Koh- I - Noor Pencils

I was playing in my moleskine with my new Koh-i-noor pencils.  I did two sketches from my imagination of girls.  Here are how they turned out.

Soulistry - Wk 2 - Deer Gifts

I so enjoyed this prompt from Soulistry week two.  When Effy worked on her crow gifts it so inspired me to do a mediation to find out what spirit animal would come to me and what gifts they would bestow me.  I loved playing with the collage pieces, my pan pastels. punchinella and my trusted brayer too.
