Sick baby boy

Anderson woke up yesterday with a clear runny nose. Last night when we put him to bed, he was fine. Then he woke at 9:45 and had this TERRIBLE cough, like a sea lion's bark/cough...it SCARED ME TO DEATH. I quickly called the doctor and she said it was croup.

I stayed up most of the night sleeping in and out about 1 hour total. Three times I got Anderson up to run a hot shower and let him breathe in the steam in the hopes that it would help. It did.

He's on an antibiotic and will hopefully recover soon. Please pray that he will!

Today was so very exciting and yet kinda sad too. Adam completed and graduated from Jones School of Law. He has worked so hard for 4 and a half long, tiring years...studying, stressing and generally just going gray(we...ummm I mean me probably made the last part happen;) And happily, I hope to have spent the last supper and evening by myself for a long time...whew four years of supper with beagles, ugh!

We invited our family up to eat with us and attend his graduation ceremony, and being such a gracious host/domestic goddess, got bbq catered-ha!

The coolest part was that the law school allows your family member/person who has supported you during your school years to sit in the row behind you and hood you. Now, I didn't know what a hood was, but it is pretty cool, you see it's this sash that goes around your neck and down your back (FYI...the purple color is for the area of law and the red and white are Jones colors).

Thanks to all of our family who supported Adam and me during his law school years and any and ALL donations to pay back his student loans will be accepted...email me and we'll give you our bank account number to donate -ha! ;)

On another note, Anderson and I are OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!! Hooray, now it'll be sleeping til 11 and .... YEAH RIGHT!!!

Busy little bee

It's been 2 weeks since I've written a post. Two weeks!!! I'm back dear friends and we have been busy as little bees.

First up, Mother's Day! We went to Dothan for the special occasion and spent it with our mommas. This was a special day again for me because it was my 2nd Mother's Day. Here is what Anderson(Daddy;) got me. I LOVE IT! We went to my Daddy's house and when Anderson saw the pool, I literally thought he was going to JUMP in. We got him in a bathing suit and in he went and SCREAMED when he had to come out. The baby LOVES water!

Last weekend, we went to the Destin. Adam had a deep sea fishing trip to go on with some buddies of his from work. As soon as we got to the beach, we ate and quickly got on Anderson's bathing suit and headed out on the beach. I say quickly, because he fusses the entire time we are changing him. On Sunday, while Adam was fishing, Anderson, me and my momma went shopping together at the outlets-pretty fun!

Tomorrow is my last day of work for the year, I'm so very excited to stay home with Anderson during the summer. Today, was the last day for Mrs. Sherri(his babysitter) to keep him, I cried(not him) when we left today. We love Mrs. Sherri and she has treated Anderson like he is her own grandson. We're gonna miss you Mrs. Sherri!

We have many plans for the summer, Anderson has swimming lessons at the YMCA and music lessons at Gymboree. What are you're plans for your kiddos this summer? We need to get into a good routine and I'm definitely open for options.

Anderson has just recently started pulling up and actually standing up by himself for a minute at a time...he does it when he's not paying attention. He walks from object to object holding on, it's just too cool! I just can't believe how brave he's getting.

I too am getting brave. I gave him a half of a Ritz cracker today and he ate it and didn't choke or throw up (YAY)!!! He gave parts of it to Gus. Gus said " I knew I like this guy"-ha!

Adam is graduating this Sunday from here. I get to hood him- I've never hooded anybody before, I guess I'll know how!? He's applied for some jobs, please say a prayer that he can find one that is perfect for him and our family!

Lovin' Is What I Got...

With Mother's Day coming up very soon on Sunday, I want to thank my momma. I don't even know where to begin...I've been so blessed to continue to have her as my mom.

My momma was a single mom from the time I was 3 months old. She is my ROCK! Just imagine having to raise a baby essentially by yourself with most of the care falling on you and having no partner in the house to help. I get a panicky feeling just thinking about it! My momma has been my biggest encourager, my inspiration to be a better person, my conscience, and my best friend.

I LOVE and cherish this woman. I must talk to her at least twice(if not more times) per day. Most of the time we just ask each other a question and hang up or talk about nothing or other times just breathe(not really) when we have nothing to say to each other, but I just have the need to talk to her.

When something good or bad happens I call Adam and then I call Momma. It's that kind of relationship. I know she loves me unconditionally and always will. This letter does not even do you justice mom, you are the BEST mom in the whole world and I love you! I strive each and everyday to be a mom just like you!
