Halloween and Fort Worth

Happy Halloween! We got this yesterday from Gami and Pappy for us and Anderson-YAY!
ImageWe have had a great day! We headed down to Ft. Worth to go the...zoo(no pictures though, so don't worry). Anderson didn't get up until 9:20 this morning! We decided to go over to Ft. Worth to go to the zoo, since we have season passes. We had heard about Kincaid's Hamburgers in midtown Ft. Worth.Image It was AWESOME!! The hamburgers and hot dogs were to DIE FOR!!! (sorry the hamburger looks kinda gross, but I was hungry before I decided I needed to take a pic to show you)
Image
Anderson LOVES to dip his fries and dip and dip and dip some more.
ImageThis is the inside of Kincaid's. It was started in 1946 as a grocery store and the butcher started using the left over meat to make hamburgers and that is how it got started. Probably more info than you wanted or needed, but I'm a historical details kind of person...so sorry!ImageImageOkay, I lied, one picture of the zoo, but who can resist Anderson feeding the parakeets...so stinkin' cute!

Halloween Night:
We went to downtown Grand Prairie to a trick or treat carnival and Anderson went wild! He was running around all over the place and laughing!ImageImageImageImageImage
He did the hay maze and Adam said he was pretty good at it, turning around when he would get to a dead end.
ImageOh....but when we left....he screamed so loud and even hit Adam in the throat(on accident of course) THIS PICTURE IS SOOO FUNNY!!
ImageHe cried all the way to the car, UNTIL....momma said "you want some candy"? And his answer was....
ImageYES!!!
(what else did you think it would be, this is my child through and through and we LOVE chocolate and candy)YES!!!ImageHappy Halloween from our little elephant!!!

Trick or Treat Fishy

Image
I know, I know...you're zoo and aquariumed out by me, but I can't help it, Anderson LOVES animals and fish! And Dallas has a great aquarium.

We started off by driving down to downtown Dallas, which is so neat! HUGE, but neat!
ImageAnd we visited with the alligators(excuse me, crocodiles..I guess that the technical name but we call them all alligators)Ha! The alligator was RIGHT THERE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLASS, Anderson LOVED it...ME not so much! Ugh!
ImageThey have this COOL tunnel that you can walk thorough and see the sharks and fish. Anderson is MESMERIZED every time! On a side note, the last time, Mom and I took Anderson to the aquarium these people where in the shark tunnel taking a pic with flat Stanley, who is essentially a cut out boy...I have never heard of this flat Stanley, have you?ImageImageAnderson LOVES the manatees and kept saying "beach" cause I told him that's where they live...and I know they don't live in salt water, but we'll just go with that cause it's too hard to explain the difference between salt and fresh! :)
Image
On a positive note, we found a GREAT pediatrician, who I really like and she is female and that I really like. I know that men are great pediatricians, they just aren't mommas. Are ya with me on that one?

I have no idea what this building is..only that it is made out of glass and my mother is obsessed with finding out what it is...so mom, here is what it isImage
We're going trick or treating tomorrow night and Anderson has perfected his ghost noises..."ooooooooo" he is intrigued with the ghosts!

Have fun!

Hey Good Lookin' Whatcha Got Cookin'

I really have NOTHING to tell you, not one thing! But I promised my mom that I would post pictures of Anderson everyday! Well, I lied, I do have a couple of things:

1. Anderson feels SO MUCH BETTER!! Praise GOD!

2. This is what we ate for lunch, just kidding, we actually had pea
nut butter sandwiches and mac and cheese!ImageAnderson has the great new kitchen that comes complete with all the plates and plastic silverware. You have to buy the food separately from Toys R Us. The kitchen only cost $45 at Wal Mart!
ImageImageHe LOVES it! My mom has one at her house for Sydney(her step-granddaughter) and Anderson has played in her kitchen for 3 hours straight at a time! He never does that!

Thought this can that comes with the "play" food was funny, I love the nutritional value of it:)
ImageImageWe're continuing to stay inside today through Friday, because MORE RAIN is headed our way, UGH!

Some other ramblings:
1. I MISS having a house, I'm begging poor Adam to let us start looking for a house, but we have a lease until next Nov.

2. I HATE trying to have to find a new pediatrician, OBGYN and veterinarian for us. We had great ones and I hated to lose that.

3. I really like Texas

4. I miss my momma

5. I really want a season pass here, but it's too expensive!

Anderson feels great-YAY, Mama feels bad, BOO

Hooray! For two days in a row, Anderson has felt like his old healthy self again!! That makes me so happy! We even went out for a walk this morning and got some fresh air, which was very nice! I'm still praying that he has no complication come up from the flu virus like pneumonia or anything else. ImageMy mom, who is an old nurse(not that she is old..just that she has been a non-practicing nurse -she's a physician recruiter)says that to keep Anderson from getting pneumonia that I need to do something called postural drainage(which is essentially turning him on his head and patting him on the back to let his lungs drain and aerate) He loves it, HA! Yeah right, he screams like a banshee every time I do it.

I even drove through Chick-Fil-A today and got us some take out! I knew that would make us feel better!(Gus says it would make him feel better too, if he could just reach it)!
ImageSome great news! We closed on our house today! Woo-Hoo and the check is in the mail-even better!!! We've got to over night it back to the attorney with our signatures.
ImageSo thank you for all of your continued prayers for Anderson, he's feeling better, but me on the other hand. I am feeling just downright SICK! I hope that I'm not coming down with the flu too ! Oh no!

See our house even proves my point, it's a MESS! UGHHHH!

See you soon!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Anderson is doing MUCH better today! Praise the LORD!! He has no fever, is running around and playing and has even thrown 2 temper tantrums(hooray) that means he is feeling himself again!!!ImageImageThank you all so much for your prayers for Anderson, we can feel them! We appreciate all of you so much!

We shall see what the rest of the week brings. We are staying put this week and I'm even considering putting him into a bubble (haha, like bubble boy) to help him not get anything else- just kidding!;) I am blaming myself though for taking him to all of these places like indoor playgrounds etc. where the germs are in the millions-YUCK! I probably won't take him back to places like that for a WHILE.

I have disinfecting the whole entire house and Adam has even been sporting one of these! Ha!
ImageWe had gotten to the point where he was off his bottle, but he would NOT drink anything so...

ImageI know I know, but he has to drink fluids!

Today,I was cutting his nails and cut his nail so short it bled, I cried and so did he. I put a band-aid on his little finger and he just keeps saying "dat"? He has learned to say 'boo-boo" nice, what a great mom-huh?! (yeah right)
ImageBut, thank the LORD he is feeling better and is continuing to get well and make a full recovery. Please continue to pray that he will make a full recovery!

Please say a prayer

Sorry for the lack of posts, but Anderson has come down with the H1N1 flu!! Me, being a panicky mom rushed him to the doctor because his temperature had been 102 this a.m. The worst thing was that his doctor is in Arlington, which is home of the Dallas Cowboys and today they were playing their first home game. I almost killed some tailgaters because they were in the road and the traffic was to a crawl. Luckily, my wonderful, calming husband suggested a different way and we were there within minutes.

The doctor confirmed H1N1-MY WORST FEAR! He told me that 99.9 cases of flu are H1N1 and that the media hypes it up. I'm still just nervous and a little afraid and I have been in constant prayer off and on all day. Please say a prayer that Anderson will make a full recovery soon!

Thank you :)

F is for Family

Hello friends! The weather here was rainy on Wednesday and a cold front moved in! We are in the upper fifties today! Last night, we bundled up and had dinner with my cousin Meghan and her fiance Matt! They are a lot of fun! She works as a speech therapist at Children's Hospital in Dallas and he is a pediatric resident there as well. They are getting married after Thanksgiving in New Orleans, how fun!ImageAnderson was having a fit as soon as we sat down in the restaurant, but when his food got there, he was PERFECT! Here were his french fries, how adorable!
ImageIt feels so nice to have family here living near us, it feels like home!

************************************************************
Today, Anderson and I took Annabelle and Gus(who have been feeling quite neglected) here:
ImageThey had the BEST TIME!!
ImageAnderson did too! I think he loves playing at Central Bark better than they do! Ha! ImageImageHe loved climbing up on the rocks (don't worry, I was right there)
ImagePointing out the doggie poo poo station(gross)
ImageAnd throwing the ball to Gus, who obliged him by quickly chasing after it!
ImageAnd, no, we didn't forget to...

Hope you have a great weekend! Roll Tide beat those Volunteers!! :)

It's a Jungle in Here!

Sometimes, I miss this place so much
ImageI like Grand Prairie, I really do. Sometimes I just want our old house back. Enough of that!

Today we got a special delivery just for Mr. Anderson! It was his new jungle bedspread that goes on his big boy bed!Image I LOVE it and he does too! He also loves to jump on his new bed, which we are trying to learn is a "no-no"! -Ha! ImageImageIt only cost $40.00 off of ebay! I'm having this lady paint Anderson some lions, zebras, monkeys and giraffes. I found her off of Kelly's Korner!

Gus wonders what happened, "how did I get kicked off of Anderson's new bed"?!!
Image
Anderson is 18 months today!!! Where did the time go?

Tomorrow is Friday folks! :)
