Sassy Belle

Hello friends!

Today, Anderson and I ventured over to Ft. Worth Humane Society. We saw that they had a dachshund and when Mom saw "Sassy Belle" on the computer, she had a fit. We have always had dachshunds growing up.

It's been really hard for Mom and Bob these last two months because they lost their beloved Emma, the golden retriever to congestive heart failure. While NO DOG can ever replace Emma(EVER) they decided to give this dog a chance at a great life, like Emma had.

If you have the means, please go adopt a dog or cat at your local humane society. There were 15 people turning in dogs today while we were there. Those babies need a chance!

Thanksgiving Day

Hello friends!

So, the last time, I blogged, Mom was here.
Image On Thanksgiving Day,we of course got up and watched The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. One day, I actually want to be there! I love New York City so much! Maybe when A is 5?! We decided not to cook this year and went to Cracker Barrell at lunch. It was actually a lot cheaper than cooking and yummy too!ImageImageThat night, we went to Waffle House for Thanksgiving dinner and we had the place to ourselves.ImageImage But, oh the food was delicious!!! ImageWe even spent a quarter at the juke box and played Elvis' "Blue Christmas" ha!

Then we headed over to Prairie Lights, which is a Christmas City of sorts. Anderson saw Santa and told him he wanted a "bubble popper" wha???!

We had hot chocolate and A had Sunkist.ImageThey even had a carousel at the little Christmas town. ImageBe back soon with pictures of our Christmas tour in San Antonio!

Life in a twirlie car

Hello friends!
Link
Yesterday, we went to check out a time share. We weren't going to buy it, but just for going we got a two night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX! It looks AWESOME and even has an indoor water park-SCORE!

After that we headed for Grapevine Mills Mall...which is huge and has
9 million stores and a carousel with a twirlie car! Not a good combo when you've just eaten, I might add. But, fun nevertheless!ImageImageThis morning, we did our usual. Got up and went to garage sales and found nothing, but the doggies enjoyed the outing Imageand I saw this cool sign! Ha!!ImageHope you have a great weekend! ROLL TIDE!!!Image

Getting ready

Hello friends!

Anderson and I finished decorating our house yesterday for Christmas.
ImageYes, I'm aware that it is the 16th of November...but we love Christmas and can't get enough of it! We have been listening to Christmas music on Pandora.com .

Anderson loves the Christmas music and he goes around singing his favorite song "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer"..Ha!

This was A's contribution to decorating yesterdayImagepositioning his "snow horses" in my Christmas village!
ImageHe cracks me up!

Things that we are looking forward to this holiday season:
1. Classic Christmas music ( I like the 1950's and 60's the best)

2. "It's Christmas, Charlie Brown" ahhhh....LOVE it! Anderson's great aunt, Juke, gave him that book last year. I love reading it to him, it has the push button that make the music that is in the movie. I think you can get it at Hallmark.

3. "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" movie!

4. "It's a Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby(the movie) SO good!!

5. The house looks so nice...I love how the decorations add so much to the house!

I imagine our house looks like this at Christmas...my most favorite house of ALL time!! Click here to see the Home Alone house from Hooked on Houses blog. Do you read her? She's pretty awesome!

Mom will be here on Monday to spend Thanksgiving with us! Woo-Hoo!!!

Pretty funny

I did the Elf Yourself again this year...I love those. When you get to the page make sure you click on select Singing type of Dance...You can watch it here!

Oh yea...and there is a real post below this one. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like....

Hello friends!

Yesterday, it was 82 degrees. We had on shorts and flip flops and were listening to "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and decorating the Christmas tree.
ImageAnderson was loving all the Christmas music and we were dancing. Ha! This picture makes me think of New Kids on the Block's song here. ImageLinkAnderson and Annabelle were "helping" me decorate the tree. ImageAnderson's favorite tree so far is our dog tree that Adam decorated.Image I can't keep him out of the guest bedroom. He keeps trying to get ornaments off and play with them!

Today, I'm working on our Alabama Christmas tree...ROLL TIDE!ImageAnd then,I will start on Anderson's new Disney tree.

I will post pictures when I'm all done. I know...I know, I'm early, but it's just so fun!

Halloween

Hello friends!

Our zoo in Ft. Worth had a "Boo in the Zoo" this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. It was a lot like a fall carnival with animals thrown in there. ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageAnderson looked just like he "worked" there! Haha!! He was a zoo keeper. Adam and I dressed up to match Anderson. Sorry, mom...he just wouldn't wear the hat. This was the only pic I could get with him in it. And as you can see...he doesn't like it, at all!ImageImageIn fact, it was quite the feat to get him to put his costume on tonight. I swear, I chased him all around the house and finally tackled him and he shrieked "I'm scared the whole time". Awesome.

We trick or treated with our friends and neighbors. We had a lot of fun(but we missed you Dada...he had to work:(
ImageI think Anderson FINALLY got the hang of the whole trick or treating deal. Although, when I would say to him "what do you say"? He would te
ll the people "thank you" instead of trick or treat. ImageAnd then he started feeling super comfortable with the whole idea of it, that when people would open their door...he would help himself to whatever was in there candy bowl.

The kiddos Bekah, Samantha, Anderson, Castin, Danna and Jaycie
. They are all getting too big!ImageJustin (Casey's husband) is too crazy!...but easy to spot in the dark!ImageThe witch around the corner and boy does she have a loud witchy laugh!ImageHilarious, Clara pulling Anderson...she's only 4 ft 9!ImageThe neighbor's down the street house. Their theme was Pirates of the Carribean! So cool!!ImageAnderson and Castin enjoyed being pulled around too!ImageHope you had a Happy Halloween too!
