Hello friends!
Anderson and I were looking for something to do today since he was sick with a stomach virus yesterday. It is really cloudy, cool and raining a bit, so the zoo was out. Then I remembered we hadn't been to Cabela's in a while so...off we went! I told A to smile and he said "cheese" like alright already, let's get this thing done! :)
Cabela's is awesome, for more than one reason. It has neat clothes for outdoor wear AND it has A LOT of FREE animal displays to look at and a HUGE aquarium with freshwater fish.
I kinda think Anderson is starting to wonder why the animals are NOT moving.
I don't even want to think about telling him about that yet...I think I'll save that one for his DaDa! ;)
Like I have told you many times before, this kiddo LOVES animals more than anything in this world! I hope he turns out to be a veterinarian. He got up here by the moose himself and said "cheese".

In other news, his birthday is less than a month away and I am really kind of sad about him turning 3. He and I were talking about it in the car today and I said "Anderson, I'm gonna be sad when you turn 3, b/c you are not a baby anymore" and he told me "Momma, don't be sad at my birthday"!! Ha! Sweet big boy!
Adam and I are pulling out hair out trying to figure out what to give him for his birthday. Any suggestions? Obviously, you know the boy loves animals...

Life is beautiful
Hello friends!
Anderson and I like to stay on the go. But, it gets expensive trying to come up with something to do a couple of days a week. We absolutely love the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens.
It's super fun and super cheap...FREE!
Spring is out in full force and Anderson loves being outdoors and playing, running, jumping, and climbing. In my opinion, all of the a fore mentioned are good for little boy's souls. :)
I absolutely love this little devious smile. It means he's up to something good(like running away from me;)
This kiddo is a hoot, and sometimes it's really hard to keep a straight face when I'm getting onto him.
We walk/run about 1 mile down the boardwalk through the woods and into a solarium/green house. Right outside the green house is a really cool fish tank.
Recognize this guy?
It's Nemo!
I love the sign on the fish tank it says "Please don't tap on the glass, it makes the fish worry" Ha!
We saw some more beautiful trees and flowers and I couldn't resist putting them on here, because my momma LOVES flowers! What in the world are these?!

And our trip wouldn't be complete without a little climbing on the fence. Life is beautiful!

Last Weekend
Hello friends!
Last weekend, Adam's parents were here with us and we had a great time!
We walked around downtown Ft. Worth(Sundance Square) and had lunch.
I LOVE the architecture in this city.
Isn't this the coolest sign?
Sadly, it was a bar, not a shoe store for kids...I was bummed.
We headed down to the Historic Stockyards. They had a free petting zoo and free pony rides-SCORE!
Two of Anderson's favorite things! We even found where the keep the steers, when they are not doing the cattle drive down the street. We got up nice and close, which is how I got this picture.
But, later spotted a sign that said "Danger, do not come within 20 feet of the fence" YIKES- I see why!! Just look at those horns!! This was "Freckles"
Gami and Pappy bought Anderson his 312th(yes, I just counted all of his little animals) and he has been playing with and posing it every since! There is not a time, when he doesn't have animals in his hands!! ;)
He Loves them so much.
On Saturday, I got Ms. Tami to garage sales with A and me. I really think she liked it, she bought a couple of things too.
Then when we came home, the kids across the street were playing in the sprinkler(yes, it was 86 degrees)and so we HAD to go play! ;)
We had a fun weekend, thanks Gami and Pappy for letting us get away for our anniversary to the Improv Comedy Club for a little date! It was just what we needed.

2,920 Days
Hello friends!
Today, Adam and I celebrate 8 years of marriage!
Adam is the BEST person I know. He is my best friend and I love him more today as a husband and a father than on the day that I married him 8 years ago! I still feel like the LUCKIEST girl in the world! I LOVE this man!!

A Picnic
Hello friends!
The weather was kind of gloomy today and a little chilly, upper 50's. I am not complaining though because Friday it's supposed to be 85 degrees! Anderson and I didn't want to stay home. We decided to go have a picnic at the park and play on the playground.
When Anderson saw the playground, he took off at a fast sprint. He LOVES playing at the park!
Seriously, how did this child get to be this big to be climbing on jungle gyms by himself?
Loves to swing!
We walked over to the pond and ate at the picnic tables and watched people fish.
The boy in the picture later caught a big, yellow catfish.
We ran to see it. A was delighted and wanted to hold it! It brought back great memories of my mom's family river home in Suwanee, Florida on the Suwanee River. Such a relaxing place to go and hang out and fish.
I can't wait until Anderson is big enough to go fishing with Adam.

Pump, pump, pump, pump it up!
Hello friends!
We went to our neighbors' daughter's birthday party tonight at Pump it Up(a place where they have inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses)!
It was soooo much fun...even for us old folks!
The whole group of kids...that's Jaycie, the birthday girl, in the middle front row- in the hot pink shirt with the pigtails. And there's Anderson in the yellow striped shirt!
Tomorrow, I think we are going to be sore! ;) Ignore my obviously very uncool scream...but it was too fun!

Bennett Hall Fletcher
Hello friends!
Anderson and I have been to Dallas today. Baby Bennett was born yesterday and we wanted to meet him!
I always love going to see new babies, it makes me want another one soon! ;)
Anderson was a wild man!He kept trying to touch him on the face(which I let him)softly. I was explaining on the way over how we have to be quiet around babies and touch them with one finger touches(like the snakes at the zoo) and when we got there, he wanted to see a snake! Ha! The whole thing makes me very nervous if we decide to have another baby.
Meghan, Ken(Meg's daddy) and Matt, her husband.

Tuesday Hodge Podge
Hello friends!
Anderson and I have been up to absolutely nothing today, just hanging around the house. These type of days are nice! We have been having some nice weather here, today it's supposed to be 79 degrees. Which starts me thinking...I am getting excited for our Disney trip(that won't take place until September) but only 6 months, right?! Ha!
Love that place, it really is the most magical place on Earth! I know, I know...I am nuts...at least I recognize the fact that I am.
I finally got A to ride his jumping/rocking horse.
I play THIS song and he loves it and jumps high!
I have to teach him to appreciate all types of music. As a child I LOVED Michael Jackson. As I got older, I thought of him as STRANGE, but good music all the same.
We hung out in the back yard yesterday and Adam and I were trying to teach Anderson how to use his imagination to see shapes in the clouds.
I told him I see a swan and a cow in that cloud. Probably wasn't that good of an idea, because now he shrieks to see the swan and the cow. Note to self...not ready for those types of things just yet. ;)
Gus, our beagle got a good brushing out of the whole thing. Wow, look at that form! Anderson's arm was all the way back...that must have been some hard brushing! Ha!!
Gus on the other hand does NOT look pleased.
Hope you are having a great day too!
