A nice little vacation-part dos

Hello friends!

Back in June we traveled to Dothan, and Calloway Gardens and Panama City Beach. It was such a nice trip for us. Although, Anderson was thoroughly spoiled rotten when we finally got back home due to the ungodly amounts of attention he received ;)  Do your kids do that too? Please tell me they do.

Adam's great aunt, Juke and uncle Carlos invited the whole McCord clan over to Pine Mountain, GA/Calloway Gardens and rented a beautiful villa for the whole entire week! THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!! WE LOVE YOU AND HAD THE MOST AWESOME TIME!! We had such quality family time together and Anderson with his cousins. We also met Kirk Cameron too :)

We went to Calloway Gardens and watched the Birds of Prey show, which was pretty awesome...especially in our kiddos eyes. Fed the turtles, ducks and fish. And even stopped by the butterfly house. My time was spent chasing Anderson, who was laughing and trying to chase down and touch ALL the butterflies he saw! We took a trip to Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden and Anderson ran races with the grandparents. Pappy and Gami have the coolest little trailer for kids that hooks onto their bicycle, so no day was complete without a trip around the neighborhood.

We swam every afternoon after our excursions and LOVED it. We have practically turned into fish this summer. While at the pool, Adam's cousin, Emily said that she saw Kirk Cameron on the telephone. I said, "nah uh...are you serious". She was totally serious! This is Kirk Cameron! The one that was on Growing Pains, my favorite show as a kid. The Kirk Cameron that I had on a poster on my wall out of Teen Beat magazine!! First, we saw his wife at the pool and immediately, I knew it was her. She was on Growing Pains. Nanny went and asked her was she and said "yes"! Nanny then proceeded to ask her "where is Kirk"??! And she said he would be back shortly and she would tell him that a grandma from Alabama was looking for him. To make a long story shorter, Adam and his brother Anthony were at the pool swimming later that night and Kirk Cameron came up there asking them where was the grandma from Alabama! WhAT!!!!????? Well...of course Nanny and Juke were in the shower and getting their jammies on. The boys told Kirk that and he said "how about we go to her villa and surprise her"! We all walked down with Kirk to their villa and surprised her and Juke both. BOY, were they surprised! Sorry ladies, I just had to put this picture on here!!! Can you spot Anderson and his brush with fame? ;)

But the BEST part of the trip...especially for Anderson was the Wildlife Safari Tour on the bus. This kiddo is STILL talking about the beefalo(in case you don't know...it's a buffalo and a cow mixed together). He is, to this day, still staging the Wildlife Safari Tour in his room with his animals and keeps calling his buffalo, beefalos!

A nice little vacation-part uno

Hello friends!

We took some vacation time to spend with our family in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. It was part of our southeast tour :) The first part of the vacation we spent time at my Daddy's house. He has a salt water pool that's really nice to swim in and Anderson absolutely loves to swim and be in the water. He's ALMOST got the hang of swimming. He honestly thinks that he can swim, he will just jump in, so we really have to be on our toes.He has hidden animals all over Mimi and Poppy's house and she has called me twice to tell me where she has found them! One stingray was in the pool skimmer and Poppy was freaked out when he saw it first and then figured out A had dropped it in the pool! Ha!!

We went to our favorite restaurant Mexican Connection. As far as I'm concerned has the best cheese dip in the whole entire world! Anderson on the other hand, loves to look at all of the animals they have hanging on the walls and from the ceilings. Silly Aunt Jana keeping A entertained!!

Next, we headed to Mom's house and stayed with her and Bob for a few days. I love Mom's house and garden, I feel like I'm truly home when I'm there(guess it's because she's lived there since I was 13). It's one of my happy places. Bryant and Brooklyn and Sydney(Anderson's cousins) all came over for a swim in Mom's pool. I love it when Anderson gets together with his cousins. To me, it's important for him to be close with cousins, I was and loved every minute of it.

Anderson helped Nunna pick tomatoes in  her vegetable garden. This task, he enjoyed so much. I guess it's was because he got to actually pull tomatoes and peppers off of her plants and throw them in his basket.

4th of July and Woodrow

Hello friends! We've been super busy last month and this month as well. In June, we went to Alabama, Georgia and Florida all in a time span of a 2 weeks! I am working on getting the blog written for that and the pictures posted. Can anybody tell me how to turn pictures the right way? They have changed blogger and I don't know how to turn them the right way anymore.

We went to the fireworks show in Mansfield on Tuesday night with our friends and their kids. The city had free bounce houses and a great fireworks show...all for free!!
