1 year!!!

Whew now time is really flying...I cannot believe my baby girl is 1! We had a fabulous birthday party with lots of your friends and family, and you enjoyed yourself big time! Here's what you are up to these days:
Size: 19 lbs, 12 oz 29 inches long, still in size 3 diapers and in most 12 month outfits! Doctor said you are in 50th percentile for everything which is great!
Developments: You took 12 whole steps on your buddy Colt's 1 year birthday, so I know the date was November 14th.  From there you just kept getting stronger and taking more, and now you are everywhere walking! You still crawl some, but you are walking more than crawling.  You will tell us when it's time to eat by signing and saying EAATTTT...it's very cute! You are climbing on things now and also starting to throw little tantrums, which are currently being ignored, we may deal with these different later :).  Still lots of mamas, dadas, daaaa(dog), heys, and thank yous!!
Eating: You are a great eater, except you have fallen back a little this past week because of you having an ear infection (your first one ever and first round of antibiotics ever).  You love bananas, bread, basically anything we are eating!! You are on whole milk now and are doing great so far, but mommy confesses, we have to get rid of the nighttime bottle sooner rather than later! It pains me to do it also, but I have to think of you and your little teethies!! We also need to move from the bottle to sippy cup, and make sure to brush those teeth after and before bed! This bottle is going to be no easy task to get rid of :(.
Likes: Still loves baby einsteins, watching Kingston, riding on your new Minnie Mouse train, climbing up and down into chairs, blowing everyone kisses(as you ride on your train...it's cute buy oh boy are we in trouble!), waving bye-bye, and you still LOVE to clap!
Dislikes: Again, still getting ready for bed and your car seat, we hope the car seat will get better if Santa brings DVD players for the car and a new seat to turn you forward to see everyone!!
Sleeping: Sleeping has still been great, except for this whole past week due to an ear infection...we hope this clears up soon!!!
You are the light of our lives and I love spending every second of mine with you and your daddy!

1 more month til the big ONE!!!

OMG next month you are one year old...please time slow down!! I cannot wait until your party, but I wish you would stay this age forever you are so much fun, but I know there is even more fun to come as you grow older.  I pray every night that God will help your daddy and I to raise you to be a wonderful young lady!
Size: You are around 19 pounds and wearing more 12 month outfits. The pants are still a little long because you are a shorty, but you can wear a lot of your 12 month stuff now.  You are still in size 3 diapers and they still fit great!
Developments: You took ONE whole step yesterday, and that was it....no more still crawling up a storm :).  You say HEYYYYY and it's the cutest hey I've ever heard.  Still lots of Dadas, some mamas, daaaas (dog), and hmmm I think that's about it for now.  8 teeth total, and a major step crawler, you can up all of them all by yourself now...yikes!
Eating: Still 4 bottles a day, 6 ounces each.  You love cheese, crackers, peaches, bananas, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, turkey, cheese ravioli, basically anything that's NOT pureed!
Likes: LOVE baby einstein dvds, love watching your cousin, love watching doggies and cat at aunties, being tickled under the neck, patty cake, climbing the stairs, walking with your toys, you are just such a joy!!!
Dislikes: I don't know if you will ever not scream at bedtime when it's time for pjs, you have also started to get worse about getting into your car seat, throwing your head back and not wanting to sit down, you are quite the drama queen actually. 
Sleeping: Oh we love our sleep, and that's exactly what we are still getting.  There will be some nights that you will wake up when you haven't been feeling well, or teething, but other than that WHEW it's great!
I can't believe this is the last post before your big birthday.  Your pictures didn't turn out so well, try getting a baby trying to walk to sit still for a picture! Also, you were sick hence the red bumpy cheeks :(

10 months

Well baby girl, I cannot believe it's time to start planning your first birthday party.  I wish time would slow down, but you are so amazing and show me and your daddy something new and fun everyday you are learning!!
Size: You are around 19 pounds and we won't get your length again until your 1 year appointment.  You are in mainly 9 month clothes and some 12 month, except for pants of course because you are a little shorty like your momma! Still in size 3 diapers!
Developments: You have your 4 top teeth, 2 bottom teeth, and a new one that just poked through last week on the bottom, so 7 teethies total now! You have learned to Patty cake and know exactly when to "roll them over" too! You have learned the doggy says Woof Woof, you say mamamamaa daddaadada, and granddad has been teaching you granddad.  You are not walking yet but it's coming soon, you stand up for longer periods by yourself now and do a lot of furniture cruising.  You have learned to play peek a boo yourself and you seem to mimic us a lot more now when something is funny to you.  You are so cute in your car seat when you talk to yourself in your mirror it's the funniest thing! You are doing a lot now-a-days so I'm sure I'm missing something!!
Eating: 4 bottles a day still, 6 ounces in each.  3 meals a day and you are becoming one picky eater! I think you have self-weaned yourself from baby food and just want anything off our plates, bread, crackers, whole pieces of fruit, pasta, ham, turkey, cheese, etc.  You have also begun throwing the food on the floor that you are not interested in...you little monster!
Likes: Still loves Mickey Mouse, Baby Einstein, watching your daddy throw the football/basketball, driving the car (well pretending), you LOVE both your granddads no one else can hold you when they are around!, doggies, loves bike riding with mommy and daddy, and lots more!!
Dislikes: Still hates getting pjs on at bedtime, and HATESSSS getting in your carseat! And pretty much now all veggies :).
Sleeping: YOU SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT haha YAYYY finally...some nights are rough and are normally now only when you don't feel good or if a toothie is popping through! Most nights you go down around 8:00 and sleep til 7:00 straight...shew mommy and daddy really appreciate it baby girl!

9 months

9 months...wow only 3 more months til you're 1!! Cannot believe it!
Size: You were 18 pounds exactly at your 9 month appointment, 27 3/4 inches long and average on each growth chart.  You wear mostly 9 month clothing and still in 6 month sleepers so they don't slide off your feet since you are a shorty :).  You are still in size 3 diapers and probably will for a while.
Developments: You have gotten 2 more teeth, so now you have all four in the front, top and bottom.  You have had croup this month which took a VERY long time to get over, but overall you have always been a pretty healthy baby.  You are waving, clapping, and because of your auntie, you can do sign language.  You mainly just sign more while you are eating, it's so cute!  Still crawling and pulling up on everything...I really think walking is right around the corner as strong as your legs are!  Your personality has really come around, you love to be tickled under your neck, and have started to laugh at the babies on the baby einstein dvds....it's so cute!  We are currently working on getting your butt to sleep through the night, it's getting better we are having to let you cry it out some though...mommy HATES that!!!
Eating: You eat about 4 bottles each day, 5/6 ounces in each.  You love sweet potatoes and carrots which we have quit mashing and let you take these in soft chunks.  You love real bananas and peaches, still loooove apples, and of course your puffs and yogurt for snacks.
Likes: You still love baby einstein, you have started laughing out loud at it haha, you love being tickled under your neck, this makes you laugh so loud too.  You are getting the most personality, loving watching tyson, loving trying to walk, and just loving to learn really!
Dislikes: You hate peas still, I keep trying, and you keep gagging haha.  You still hate to ride in the carseat, but only at night if you are super sleepy, you will basically scream until we get home from wherever we are. 
We love you so much baby girl, you are such a blessing to us!

8 months!

This last month has been the most eventful one thus far! I cannot believe in 4 short months we will have a 1 year old...:(, makes me very sad seeing the time fly so fast.
Developments: Let's see, where do I begin....crawling for 2 weeks now, standing up and pulling up on everything, I'm pretty sure you will be walking before too long you want to so bad!! Your first word was Ma-Ma, unfortunately the day before Father's Day..in front of your daddy :(.  Now we get a lot of ba-bas, da-das, ma-mas, it's all so cute when you get going.  And finally you had your 2 front bottom teeth pop through at the end of June, whew, seems like the sleeping has gotten slightly better since this! Fingers crossed!!! You are such a joy, you jump all around on the bed with me and your daddy being such a ham, you love to dance to music, and you still love your baths (even more now that you have the whole tub to splash in!).
Eating: You still eat 6 bottles a day, with one being a midnight feeding...we are going to try and shake this one soon, but the sleeping is good so we are afraid to chance it.  You are just one of those babies that will not eat a lot during the day and I feel like you were waking up at night a lot because of hunger, so we'll see if we can get rid of this one in the next few months, but no rush :).  You eat 3 times a day, oatmeal twice, veggies twice, and fruits twice.  You Love sweet potatoes, and looove apples that mommy bakes for you and purees.  You love peaches and bananas too, you are now getting peaches cut up so you can start feeding yourself which you are very good at.  Recently we have started you on some blueberry yogurt which you also love!!! You are not loving any veggie but sweet potatoes unfortunately, but you will eat peas, carrots, and squash if I mix with oatmeal. 
Likes: You still love watching Mickey Mouse, baby einstein, and now you can add Yo Gabba to that thanks to our last visit to Unkie Brad and Coopers house :).  You still love watching Kingston, jumping up and down, love getting tickled under your chin on your neck, flipping upside down with daddy, and watching Tyson.  You are such a joy!!
Dislikes: You still hate bedtime there's lots of screaming, I just don't think this will EVER change!!You also get fussy at bottle-time, but we are used to all this now so you don't bother us, we just have to plan our dinners out around this time or else we will run the whole restaurant out!
Sleeping: You are sleeping better still, some nights great, some nights not as much.  You go down around 7:30, bottle around midnight, sometimes you try and wake around 3:30 or 4:00 but mommy tries hard and you will go back to sleep until around 7am.
I think you weigh around 17 1/2 pounds, you don't have another appointment until 9 months, but this is what you weighed when you had hand, foot, mouth week before last :(.  That was a rough week! you were only down and out about 2 days, then mommy got it and was down and out 2-3 days, no fun!!
I love you will all my heart, I cannot imagine my life without you!

Very late 7 month post!:)

The Asby household is a very busy one trying to be full-time parents, one in school, and raising a sweet little active 7 month old! So, my blogging has definitely taken a backseat to the priorities in our lives! Speaking of the biggest priority, Emmy B! Here's what she is doing these days:
Weight: I think you are somewhere around 17 pounds and a few ounces, you are in size 3 diapers and in mostly 6 months clothes and getting into some of your 9 month clothes.  Mommy is excited about these clothes, they are mostly the realllyyyy cute ones she bought before you were even born :).


Developments: You are sitting, rolling front to back and back to front, you are also spending much more time on your belly lifting up and scooting back and forth(watch out crawling is in our near future!!!), laughing up a storm recently and mommy loves it...oh and sorry daddy but first word was MA-MA on June 16th-yes the day before father's day :(.  This was the first word and have not heard it since, but hey I'll take it!! Still no teeth, but still lots of drool and chewing.  PULLING up on everything, we are getting ready to move your pack and play down while you play in it because one of these days you are going to pull to a stand up and do a nose dive!
Eating-You eat 5 bottles a day, 5 ounces each with one dreamfeed around midnight.  Breakfast you eat oatmeal and fruit, lunch fruit and veggie, and supper veggie and oatmeal.  You love apples, sweet potatoes, and puffs! Peas hurt your tummy so we'll try these again at a later date!
Likes- Mickey Mouse still gets smiles and arms swinging when he comes on, it's the cutest thing ever.  You also loooove baby einstein, I think i'm turning you into mommy's tv buddy :(.  You love your cousin, he gets the most laughs, you love jumping in our laps, watching any dog especially Tyson, bathtime, your first pool date with your buddy Colt was last Saturday and I think you highly enjoyed yourself!

Dislikes: You still get fussy right around bottle time, but we try and hurry the best we can :).  You also still really dislike bedtime, getting dressed for bedtime is a lot of crying, but we are used to this now too and try to get you dressed before you get too tired.
Sleeping: We can FINALLY say, muchhhhh better.  Still not a great sleeper, but we are doing a lot better.  You go down around 7:30 and take a bottle around midnight, daddy has a secret potion for this bottle haha maybe a little cereal??? I don't care because you normally sleep til 7am, some nights you wake around 3:30, but mommy comes and rocks you a minute and you go back to sleep.  If you have a bad night you will sometimes try to wake for the day at 5:00, but we try our hardest to not let this happen too often :).

1/2 year birthday!

I cannot believe we are halfway through your first year, mommy gets teary when I think how fast you are growing up.  BUT, you are such a joy...everyone is right when they kept saying just wait until 6 months she gets even better!!
Developments: You are sitting pretty like a big girl and you love it...you hate laying your back a lot now haha.  You also still get mad after  you are on your tummy for a few minutes but we gotta let you, this is how you are supposed to learn to crawl!! You still looove Mickey Mouse and you talk to him a lot on tv.  You are saying many syllables, mainly MAAAA which I'm really hoping will turn into mama before Dada, but I've been told it's normally Dada first.  Still teething like crazy, we are hoping for a tooth soon so we can see the finished product of the fussiness we know is coming from teething.
Eating:  You still eat about 6 bottles a day, but have cut back to about 5 ounces each, I believe your reflux has made a reappearance and so we have increased your zantac doseage and hope this will help.  You are eating cereal morning and lunch, and then you either get sweet potatoes, carrots, or bananas at lunch and supper.  You love puffs and mum mums!
Likes: Mickey mouse, paci, dogs, exerciser, watching other kids and babies especially kingston, sitting up, you love your auntie (You smile really big when she comes around), your lovey, any kind of water, bath or pool, anything cold on your gums!
Dislikes: You still hate flipping to your belly, this has been known to wake you up early in the mornings :(.  You hate anything painful, it seems teething is sooo bad for you, and if you poke yourself wrong or anything you scream loud haha, this came from mommy.  You still hate being hungry, but we know when that's coming so normally this isn't bad anymore.  You hate getting dressed before bed, I guess it's because you are so tired but this is your worst time of day!
Sleeping: Let's not go there. :)

You took your first ride in the jogging stroller on 5/20, you so enjoyed it!
