Baby #6

On August 29, we welcomed baby #6 into our family, Avery Elaine. She came into this world at 36 weeks and 6 days weighing 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long.
For 2 weeks I had been having irregular contractions but wasnt really expecting to go this early. Saturday the 24th really early in the morning I woke up not feeling well and been having pretty consistent contractions but they ended up stopping. I went to my baby shower that afternoon and went on with my day and felt great. The next day I felt great and went to church.
After church we decided to go to my in-laws house to visit and I started feeling sick again and had mild contractions again. Felt well enough to go to bed and felt great again the next day. Got some errands done and got the kids from school. Again that night felt sick again with more consistent contractions and was uo.most of the night so when morning came I decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. Well I ended up getting sent home since I didnt progress and was ordered to drink a lot of water.  Felt pretty much better later that day and the evening.
Wednesday I felt great until it was dinner time, called my in-laws to come over and help get the girls to and from activity days, help feed the kids. I texted Spencer before his parents came over and told him how I was feeling and he decided to not stay late and came home when he got in his 8 hours. That night the contractions were getting stronger but not strong enough for me to rush over. I timed them for a good 3 hours, continued to feel really sick. Around 1:30 am I decided it was time to go into the hospital and get checked out again. When I got to triage they checked me and I had progressed to 4 cm but still wasnt enough to be admitted. So my Doctor said to observe me see if I progress any further. In about 1.5 hours I progressed about a half cm but he still wanted to monitor me. I got put in a room, hooked me up to the monitors.
Lacy showed up around 4 am to be there with me. I was still very nauseous and ended up throwing up a lot of the water I had been drinking. Since I wasnt admitted yet I didnt get anything for nausea until afterwards. They hooked me up to an IV, gave me anti nausea meds with fentanyl which was able to let me rest. The IV actually got my contractions spaced out but they were starting to get a tad stronger. The doctor had them check my progress and I was actually at 5.5-6 cm so he decided to admit me into the hospital.
The Doctor came in between 8:30 am and 9 am checked me and I was around 6-6.5 cm he broke my water and teased me and asked if I could give him 10 minutes to head across the hall to post partum to check on his other patients. So about 40 min later be comes back and I was ready. 2 pushes later and Avery was born. I got to cut the cord and did skin to skin for quite a while.
This was the 4th delivery I was able to do without an epidural all because I progress so fast but I wouldn't change it for anything.

Update with exciting news

Well I guess I better update on what has happened with the family. Saturday July 8th we welcomed baby #5 to the family. His name is Carter Raymond Bunn. The delivery was so fast I barely made it to the hospital. I woke up that morning around 1 am feeling him drop and having contractions but not really knowing they were at first. I them woke Spencer up not sure exactly what time but he called his parents to come watch the kids. When they got there we left and got to the hospital about 2:30 am waited about 5 minutes in the ER to be taken upstairs to labor and delivery (which seemed like forever). The contractions were very very painful and on top of each other. I get taken upstairs and straight to the delivery room (while Spencer filled out some paperwork) and had 2 contractions before I was comfortable enough to get the gown on (which it basically wasn't on haha). While in the process of getting on the bed I had another contraction that I had to groan through. Nurse checked me and I was complete. Which I think I was for a good 5 minutes because of how close and painful the contractions were. I had one more contraction in the bed as another nurse was trying to fill out the information on the computer. She asked me my husband's name realized ibwasnt answering because I was pushing. 1 push and Carter was out. He was delivered at 2:46 am and was baby #3 I delivered without pain medication. He is loved by all of he 4 older siblings and of course his parents. Riley keeps asking to hold him and pets his head.

Long, Long TIme

I didn't realize how long it was since I've updated.

It is now summer break for school. The girls loved school. They start up again on August 3 so they're getting excited and of course I am since the fighting will stop haha. Riley is a year old now and becoming so smart. Corey was accepted into preschool for his speech delay. I just haven't heard anything from the school about when he starts or anything really. I hope I hear soon because this school district starts soon.

Spencer and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary back in May, We went to Las Vegas kid free, we had a lot of fun. The kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Bunn.

In the beginning of June we went to Silverthorne, and Denver Colorado for a family trip. it included all of the Bunn Family.

A few weeks later, Steve our cat passed away which was really hard on the girls. Mackenzie had asked why he had died and I mentioned that it was because he was sick. He ended up getting crystals into his bladder.

The girls are in swimming lessons now and absolutely love it.

I will add photos when I get a chance to

A little update

July 30th Mackenzie turned 5 and the girls started school.
Mackenzie isn't doing too well. She can't stay focused in her school work. Not sure how I can teach her to stay focused. We'll see if bribery will help. I'm just hoping that she doesn't have ADD.

On August 11 Riley and Mackenzie went in for their well-checks. At 4 months Riley is 17 lbs 11 oz and 25.5 inches. Mackenzie is 56 lbs and 43.5 inches.

Welcome to the family

On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 we welcomed to our family Riley Joseph. Here is my birth story.
It started Thursday the 2nd when I went to my appointment to check on the baby. I had been having irregular contractions off and on for weeks so wasn't to surprised when the physician assistant said that I was dilated already but was surprised that I was at 5 cm.
Well throughout the day I was having contractions closer together and into the evening they got closer. They even got to 2-3 min apart and I almost decided to go to the hospital but they ended up dying down at 4:30 am.
Friday they were pretty much gone but still had them sporadically. I did my usual house work to get things ready incase I need to leave for the hospital. Well nothing happened so I went to bed and was woken up by contractions around 3:30 am (Saturday) so I decided to walk around the living room and kitchen and to also wait for lacy to get here. Lacy got here and the contractions kept up but I was able to sleep through them but I just stayed on the couch. Throughout the day the contractions were going but not regularly but were pretty close at times but not too strong. Every time I would eat something I would get nauseous. So I asked Spencer to deal with dinner. After dinner the girls decorated eggs for Easter then we sent them to bed. Lacy and I put the baskets together for the kids. While doing that talked with my mom on the phone she suggested I go into the hospital just in case I had dilated more and my contractions pick up. Because we didn't want my water to break at home because we didn't think I would make it to the hospital in time.
We called Spencer's mom to come over to watch the kids and headed out when she got here with Haleigh.
I got to the hospital and was taken up to the labor and delivery triage to get monitored. They checked me and I was still at 5cm (I was disappointed because I had been contracting for 3 days). They called my dr and he said to give me my first dose of antibiotics  (I tested positive for group b strep) and to walk the halls for an hour.
After the walk I got checked again and still no change. The dr said put her in a bed to get some sleep and I'll call around 5 am to check in.
As I was in the bed trying to get sleep the contractions were slowly getting stronger, when my dr called sometime after 5 am I had only changed 1/2 cm but he caved and told them to start me on pitocin and he'll come in and break my water. He got to my room and broke my water at 6:30 am and my contractions were starting to get really intense. As I was breathing through the contractions I was telling spencer that I might cave and get an epidural. He said first have the nurse check you and see where you're at. She checked me and I was already at 9 cm (this was about 7:05). At the next contraction the nurse said let's see if we can push you to a 10 and we got there. Spencer woke up Lacy so she can help hold my legs and she wanted to cut the cord. About 5 pushes later Riley was born. They put him on me as they were wiping him off. Then took him away to get weighed and cleaned up.

Riley Joseph weighed in at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20 3/4 inches long and entered into this world at 7:12 am. Yes only 42 min after my water was broken. Spencer being the numbers person he is counted 18 contractions from the time my water was broken at 6 cm to the time Riley was born.
