- Scarce Mounts
Here any kind of boss can drop a mount. Usually, this drop rate is as low as 1%. Since these mounts are very scarce several weeks of farming is required to get them.
- Common Drop Mounts
Some mounts have a nearly 100% drop rate. Hence these are known to be Common drop mounts. However, the bosses from whom you can get these mounts are not easy to defeat. Therefore getting these mounts can be complex too.
- Quest Mounts
Specific mounts are offered only when you have accomplished a particular quest, or you get the mount as a reward for finishing it. These mounts are very rare and hence hard to get.
- Farm Mounts
Farm mounts take weeks to get as you have to collect ingredients and get pieces with additional reputation requirements.
- Event and Achievement mounts
These are the most luxurious of mounts amongst the available ones. Plus, you get them only for a limited period. You can capture them by accomplishing achievements during the different events of the game.
- PvP mounts
You can defeat other players, and the fun part is to get a mount in return for that. These can be called fusion-specific steeds that come in different looks depending on whether you play for Alliance or Horde. Some of the mounts are easy to get, while others need high PvP skills.
