Branson

Arriving at Branson Airport on November 15th, 2011. 

A few of the Twelve Irish Tenors. They were so good and not too hard to look at as well. They loved to ham it up for the camera.

We had the opportunity to tour the campus for the College of the Ozarks. In order to attend  this  school for free, you have to qualify and work on campus. The orchid below was one of many in their greenhouse.

It is customary for one of the entertainers to greet the buses. This is the oldest brother of the Knudsen Brother SIX  group. We have seen them a number of times before and have had a chance to talk to them.

This is the "Voice of Branson" Allen Edward. He was signing a CD for me.

After the show of the Hughes Brothers we were able to get a picture with one of them before we got back on the bus.

This is the fireplace in the women's restroom at the Shoji Tabuchi Show. The picture below is from the men's restroom where there is also a pool table.

We enjoyed dinner and a show on the Branson Belle Showboat.

We also saw The Bretts, Yakov Smirnoff Show, The Presley's Jubilee, The Titanic Display, as well as a tour of Downtown Old Branson.

Balloon Fiesta

On October 1st. we got on a bus and traveled from Salt Lake City to Albuquerque, NM stopping in Moab, Durango,, Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where we attended the Balloon Fiesta. We flew home on October 8th. The trip was so much fun. 

This is the Delicate Arch in the Arches National Park. This arch is commonly seen on the Utah license plate.

Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde National Park. We saw a number of cliff dwellings. It is amazing to think that a civilization lived in them.

View from Sandia Peak. It is 10,378 feet high at the top. We ate dinner at a restaurant at the top. It was very cold up there.

Spider Pig Balloon

Just love those Ladybugs!

We were able to walk around the balloons and talk to the pilots and their staff. 

We arrived at the Fiesta at about 5:30 am. It was very dark. Alan had the opportunity to help get this balloon up.  Unfortunately we did not get to see the balloons take off because the wind was too bad. We did get to see them at least inflated.

Pennington Visit

Shelley, Soren, Emily and Greyson spent the week after Christmas with us. Luckily it snowed so that they could get out into it and play. Emily is a real snow hound. She played out in it every chance she got. They all got to go sledding and had a great time.
