So in the world of I wishes . . . I wish I had kept up with this blog better. I wish I had more time. I wish a lot of things. But Life happens. Since my last post a lot of life has happened, and with that a lot of Changes.
1. I am now a full time stay at home mommy
2. I am a Homeschooling mommy to a first grader, preschooler, and troublesome toddler
3. Lala has been diagnosed with a hearing impairment and we have embarked into the world of hearing aids and sign language.
4. Did I mention I am now a full time at home mommy? This is quite an adjustment, but one of which I have no regrets. I am turning my heart toward home.
Thanks for tuning in, and look for more fun times to come.

Ten Commandments as given by Tori
Tori was "reading" the Bible to Ariana today and telling her the Ten Commandments. Here is her version.
1) Don't disobey
2) No timeouts
3) Be trusting
4) Be nice
5) Don't lie
6) Don't complain
7) Do what you're told
8) Wear what you're supposed to wear
9) Drink and eat what you should when you're sick
10) See God's love which is the rainbow
Maybe we should title these "Mommy and Daddy's Ten Commandments?" They sound oddly familiar.

Bug-a-phobic
So sitting here waiting on Tori in her Ballet class, where the studio has free wi-fi (my how times have changed), I thought I would take advantage and share some more of our fun moments in this house full of 3 girls 4 & under. I say it that way cause not for long, we are approaching Birthday Season, with Ariana turning 2 in May and Tori 5 in June! So seriously where did the last 5 years go! They don't lie when they say these are the fastest years of your life! (And of course the slowest days).
So the point of this post was not to be such nostalgic reflection, but rather add a bit of humor to your day, as we frequently have! Ariana is our little Bug-a-phob! I wonder where she gets (Mom and Dad I wonder if she is worse than I was????). As the grown up I have TRIED really hard to not pass on my fear of small creepy crawly things. We read books about bugs, I calmly make them disappear, and if it is really bad I do call in the Daddy reinforcements, but with all attempted calmness! Well with all that precaution, Ariana still freaks out. To the point of paralyziation (is that a word), or worse- running into the street on Mama!
Whenever a bug is spotted, dead or alive we hear "ZZZZZZ" ZZZZZ" "ZZZZZ" with very frantic voice, pointing , and sometimes hysterics. On occasion it is even "Dada, ZZZZZZ, ZZZZZ, Dada, Dada" (In case you didn't figure it out all bugs are ZZZZZZZ to Ariana". Smart Girl calling in Dada to take care of the dreaded Bug disposal!
In the house the bugs are most often dead, but she will not leave them alone, she points and points and "ZZZZZ" "ZZZZZ" until Dada (or in the event Dada is unavailable, Mama) disposes of the bug.
On the sidewalk the bugs are most often still alive, and she will not cross over them! I have had to pick her up and transport her far far away. And even then she is pointing back and saying "ZZZZZZ" "ZZZZZZZ".
The scariest moment was just this past Saturday when we were checking out of the hotel in Louisville (where we stayed for the Derby Mini-Marathon). I had taken the girls (all 3 of them) with me to the front desk to return our keys and check out, while Daddy went to the car with all our stuff (amazing how much stuff is required for a 1 night hotel stay! - and it was all used) Anyhow on the way for the girls to go and meet back with Daddy I decided to take the outside route since it was a gorgeous day. Well there had been rain in the AM, and what does rain bring out? WORMS!!!! Well Miss Tori steps on one without noticing it, but its sliminess through her off balance slightly which then drew Ariana's attention to it! Mind you I am holding Alyssa in my arms, and have Ariana by the hand. Ariana sees the Worm Wiggle, SCREAMS and then manages a ZZZZZ all while darting into the parking lot as quickly as possible, still holding my hand and practically pulls me over! I can't get her to do anything other than pull me towards the street, so I start yelling for Alex, who was out of sight but not very far away. I am in struggle, trying to stay balanced, not drop Alyssa, keep Ariana from letting go of my hand or pulling us further into the street. She is screaming the whole time, ZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ. Finally I somehow manage to scoop her up in my arms without dropping Alyssa and get us moved far enough away from the worm that she is no longer panicked. Daddy arrives to the rescue just in time to take Alyssa from me, Disaster averted.
So this girls fear of bugs is humorous, though scary at moments. It is adorably cute the way she yells ZZZZZZ at the site of any bugs. But I do have to say this is the strongest evidence of in born fears and differences between children. Tori has never once exhibited a fear of bugs, though a freaking out did occur once when a fly landed on her plate, but who could blame her with all those icky germs!
I love my little Bug-a-phob, she brings such humor into my world!

Sisterly Love
So many things to post, so many cute and shareable moments in our home right now. So much love. But so LITTLE TIME. So here is the one sweet moment we had last night that was worthy of the time to share.
After dinner, Daddy told the older girls that it was time to clean up and then bath time. Well Ariana absolutely loves bath time and ran around the kitchen island yelling, "bat, bat, bat" and went upstairs. Tori followed. Well we had to reign them back in because they had to do the clean up time first. So we are in the process of cleaning up (and of course Ariana needed a little reminder it was clean up time and not play time). But when we were done cleaning up, we gave Ariana High Fives and told her good job. She immediately goes "BAT" and then runs up to get Tori and in all excitement possible is screaming "Titter, Bat, Titter, Bat" and starts running up stairs to the bathtub!
Ariana just adores both her sisters, but these visible displays of that the love and affection she has for them never ceases to amaze me. It gets me in the heart and leaves me feeling a warmness that nothing else in this world compares to. This must be how our God feels when we treat each other with this kind of sweet innocent Love!

Good Night Tori...
Tonight as I was turning off the lights, Tori says, "Oh I forgot to tell you earlier, my tummy hurts." Last night she told me her tummy hurt as I was turning off the light and I called her bluff and told her if it was hurting then it would have been hurting during the whole bedtime process so she needs to tell me earlier. So after I tell her no again tonight, she whines a little, and 20 minutes later, "Mommy! Daddy!" "My nightlight is keeping me awake." Explaining what a Catch-22 is to a 4.5 year old is not an easy task, especially at 9PM. I tell her to close her eyes so she doesn't see the light and close the door. Immediately, "Daddy!!"
"Yes Tori?"
"My head hurts."
"Good night Tori."
Drama followed. I'm such a mean daddy.

All before 9AM
7:45 AM Ariana won't share Alyssa with Tori. She would lay face down on Alyssa giving her big hugs and intentionally not get up so Tori couldn't give Alyssa a good morning hug.
8:15 AM Tori asks me not to talk to her because she is reading her Bible. Nevermind that I was making her breakfast. Guess I should be grateful she is spending time in the Word!
8:20AM Tori starts telling me all about Saul that he was a bad man and Jesus made him good and changed his name to Paul and then his friends saved him by lowering him in a basket. Someone has been listening at church and preschool!

More from the mouths of babes...
During her most recent illness, Tori was complaining about taking medicine. "My legs are tired from taking it."
